ILAIYARAJA IN HOLLYWOOD MOVIE!!!!!!

6 months ago , i heard that ilaiyaraja had booked for a hollywood movie as a music director but now he had dropped from that film.this all is because the director of the hollywood movie didn't likes the sample tunes that done by ilaiyaraja.after heard about ar rahman's scoreplay in michael jackson's new album song = EKAM SATYAM and about that arr had booked for shakespeare drama in london ,they had booked rahman in their film.AR RAHMAN WOULD SCORE HIS MUSIC FOR THIS FILM IN HIS MUSIC STUDIO IN LONDON.THE DIRECTOR SAID THAT HE COULD NOT SEARCH FOR A ANOTHER COMPOSER THAN RAHMAN BECAUSE RAHMAN IS JUST A VERY INTELLIGENT FELLOW.HE KNOWS ALL MUSIC EITHER MODERN OR CLASSICAL.RAHMAN HIS VOICE OF MUSIC.

AS A CONCLUSION AR RAHMAN IS A VERY INTELLIGENT AND SMART MUSIC COMPOSER IN ALL OVER THE WORLD...
ILAIRAJA COULD NOT BE COMPARED WITH THE GENIUS AR RAHMAN.

  Why do we consider Beethoven a genius ?

  How to define a genius?
  
  this is where we all have locked our horns more times than IR v/s ARR. In fact the very fight of IR v/s ARR owes much to the unclear (or) free-format-individual definition for the term "Genius".
  
  cosmiscian i bet somebody down the line would give a different still appealing definition for Why do we consider Beethoven a genius ?
  and would say ARR cannot be compared with Beethoven the genius.
  
  When comes to defining this "notorious :-)" term we are at back to square 1 which is nothing but the stone age of this forum.

  Kupps...no probs..these days I don't put my heart into these arguements...I just kinda say what I intuitively feel to b right...no complex analysis involved..it's like the world trying to define the word "Terrorist"....very pathetic...one man's food is another man's poison..nothing changes much in this world...and we all get embroiled in these differences....what we lack is understanding that the whole world and the phenomena in it are all relative...no absolutes ever...nobody can be called the greatest..it is all enveloped in space and time..very dependent on the factors then and there..I could go on rambling...but then my definition may change from "arra loosu" to "mulu paithiyum"..though it doesn't matter anyway...

  Guys, Beethovan is world famous because of the Symphony orchestras that he has conducted. One to become world famous, he should have composed and conducted Symphonies. AR Rahman has tried it but not succeeded. However, in future, he may do that. Undoubtedly he is a great musician. IR has achieved it. He has succeeded it. Both are exceptional musicians. Both are assets for India. IR has created the history of being the first Asian to compose Symphony and AR Rahman has started to take India to various stages of Word music. Great composers! IR has just taken 7 months to prepare for the Symphony after he has got the invitation. Some great Symphony composers have taken 7 years itseems.

  tamilan-who's the hollywood director to jugde??What he knows about music.For that director music could mean mere din(koochal+eraichal).If dont wana choose raja, why bother?Music is not a matter of being genius, but how far can reach the bottm of the heart of the normal people.Infact that's the ultimate in music's'!-my humbel opinion!

  sivakumaran you are absolutely right..why are we obsessed with western culture, western media anything that is western...... if india bcomes as rich as US is today, will spielberg or james cameroon direct a 3 hr length movie with duets, fights, item songs to make it eligible for a India National awards and in every hollywood functions prominent actors will declare that their life time aim is to get an indian national award?
