  Srikanth I think it may because of Mallu vaadai in songs? all tunes are malayaala style so as singers too! I thought u would enjoy more in CD!! Anyway its ur choice!! But it will take long time to get this type songs again from IR!?!

  I just thought of something. It's funny how IR has composed more than 4000 songs yet the number of evergreen hit songs seem to be so few in comparision. For example, most of the above sites have a lot of same songs. Just thinking about this is confusing.

  Still cannot resist playing "oru naaL oru kanavu" the nth time. uNmaiyil sonna, the tune is as simple as an SAR tune though not as common :-)

  I am taking back my words on Karthik Raja.
  Once actor Jackie Shroff was telling me about his experience working with KR. He said that "KR is a Whizkid and he is chip of the old block".
  I wish he will be back with a bang this year.
  
  Since I guess you are pretty much close to IR :-)than we are, I would like to send some message across to him.
  
  I guess IR adopted to sounds like these, so that his music doesn't resemble anyone else. Ofcourse he has achieved his objective. But people ain't ready to accept this type of music.
  
  To be honest his current synthesized music is irritating at times.
  
  He has to cater to the taste of people from age 1 - 100. I am sure he is more than capable of doing this. I guess he should seriously spend some time gauging the taste of the masses.
  
  IRites don't bounce on me, These are my honest opinions.

  Extremly good song nicely sung by asha.
  
  
  3)Polladh madhana bhanam.
  Singers: Mahalakshmi,Anupama deshpandey
  North Indian folk+koothu type song Western classical notes comes in the end.
  
  
  4)Vaishnavajantho+Varanam 1000
  Singers :ganapadigal, Vibha sharma(naam iruvar namakiruvar fame)
  a very different song.
  
  5) Isaiyil Thodanguthamma
  singer: Ajay Chakraborthy
  Superb tune and good lyrics(Ilayaraja)
  
  
  6)Ram Ram
  repetaion of song 1
  
  7)Saniyasa manthiram
  Singers: Kamal, Hemamalini
  hamamalini reads a letter from saketha raman and kamal reads some slokams. Very different.
  
  
  8) Ramaranaalum
  Kamal,jolly mukerji.
  It seems kamal and sharuk singing in the movie.
  Very rythmic&catchy song.
  
  
  totaly it is very different from normal TFM. A Must buy for a music lover.

  i would say hey ram is not ir
  subramanian composed all the songs. he then laft the project as he did not want to get involved in the controversies.
  ir was there for lyrics , and final touches needed to be done to the music.

  IR for lyrics?? We read earlier that IR had to re-write the whole score but it should sync with the picturisation already done for songs by LS...One thing for sure, he doesn't need some else to compose music & gift it to him to do `final touches':-)

  Except the last song by kamal and jolly mukherjee, all the songs were different and impressive....
  
  pollAdha madhana pANam starts very folkishly and ends with a good WC piece....
  
  After listening to the album once, I found the nee pArtha the best one.....

  KN songs are really cool.. I have been listening to the 3 songs oru naal , nilavu pattu and roja poovanam repeatedly .. I find them very fresh and catchy. yes the instruments are minimal but i liked it.

  My favorite song is "Enthan Kuyilengae Inru Parthaen....". It is of the rank of "Va Va Anbae Anbae Kadhal Nenjae Nenjae..." from "Agni Natchathiram". The lyrics for this song is good too.

  I listened to the KN songs,
  Iam a die hard fan of IR. One great thing I always admired about IR is that, just listening the first time will make you get into the song and keep humming it(for example Povoma OOrholam from Chinna Thambi, ennai thaalatta varuvalo).
  I have to admit that I missed that feeling in KN. Almost all the songs made me listen twice or thrice to get used to it.
  
  Nilavu Pattu - I don't know why he needed to use the initial bit which is not in sync with the song. I guess may be the situation and the scene in the movie demands it. We have to wait for the picturisation to feel the song. But there is a great mix of variety of instruments which really is great.
  
  Iravu Pahalai theda - I liked this really. The interludes were so cool. Is KJY's voice getting old?. And KJY has followed the same style of singing he used for Malarae thendral paadum gaanamidhu from Veetla visheshanga I guess.
  
  Roja poonthottam - This has a nice melodious tune. Unni has rendered this song really good. The humming by anuradha in the saranam is so nice and i guess that is the one which lifts the saranam. But the humming by anuradha before the second saranam reminded me the Rexona ad humming. If the lyrics had been good the song would have been still more better
  
  Oru naal oru kanavu - The song is so melodious and soft. More than the song i really enjoyed the interludes and the use of instruments in a totally different manner. The voice of KJY and Anuradha were in different pitch i feel. I GUESS THIS SONG IS MORE SUITABLE FOR THE MALAYALAM VERSION of the movie.
  
  Adida melathai - Equivalent to the Iyaa voodu song in KM. But why IR SPB for this?.

  These are my choice and order of the songs.
  We have to wait for the BGM and iam sure that IR would have made it extremely good. Because i have never seen any other MD matching our IR's BGM. Remember the last bit in KM.
