Whatever happened to Jayachandran? His songs in Moonru Mudichu like "Aadi velli thaedi unnai naan adaintha naeram" and "vasantha kaala nadhiyinilae" are excellent.

  If I remember Right, Meenkodu theril has two versions - one by KJY ... other by S. Janaki.,

  one more song I heard "Aha Iruttu Neram", a lovely duet by SJ and JC. I don't know the movie but the gimics are Amazzzzzzzzzzzing. I never heard such a remantic song before in JC's voice.

  I admire JC's voice, modulations and pronounciation. His Tamil pronounciation is more perfect than any other non-tamil singer in TFM. (There are singers who pronounced Vithai as Vidhai.)

  NagaS, `meenkodi thEril' has 2 versions, one by KJY & another by Jensi (not SJ, this girl kills the song by singing `manmatha rAjan..nnnooorvalam pogindRAn'). I don't think KJY's had JC flavor:-))

  What film is "Uravukal Thodarkathai" by JC, I love that song, can not get it any where, I am fan of JC, he is excellent, after KJY, but SPB is the most excellent singer to be born in India!
  
  KJY's & JC voice are similar but can be distingushed, 4 exapmle JC has better bass than KJY, But SPB has the greatest bass out of all these singers, another great bass voice is Balamurali Krishna.

  I was not having any doubt in Meenkodi thaeril. I knew(believed) it is by KJY. But G.R as you were confused in UravugaL thodarkadhai i am also confused. Still i cannot believe that that was NOT by JC. Great songs indeed.
  
  Similarly i used to get confused between Mano and SPB in the song MalayaaLa karayoram alone. For long time i was thinking that it was by SPB. It is only after that repeated keen listening to the line neela vaanam adhil yeththanai maegam neer kondu kaatrilaeri neenda dhooram pogum i could feel it to be by Mano.
  
  Similarly, may be we have to keenly observe for distinct mark of KJY (or) JC in a confusing song.
