ok guys new original tamil album of ARR is released.
it is Tajmahal
its no joke.
ok let see what we have in this album.
There is 10 songs ,with 2 repeated song and
Bharathirajas speech.

side one

it's released in malaysia.
for malaysian ,u can only get this in Alai osai main audio shop in ,brickfiels,bcoz the other shops will only sell it this monday.
so if u cant wait so long like me, go and get it there. it is a village based songs like kizhakku seemaiyiley.with little western touch.after the first hearing, i personally think this going to be a hit album in tamil nadu.but for those who expect this gonna be a album like kadhalar dhinam,jeans or even sangamam,i advise u guys dont buy this album.because it is a "pakka village" songs .

Athey 'doubt' te tha enakkum.
i dont think ARR will show a green light for releasing more than two of his movies simultaneously.so i think the other one will be
Rhytm bcoz the trailer of this movie is shown in coliseum last nite.another one could be uthaya.
this is bcoz sabesh murali is doing the BGM for these movies.Tajmahal's BGM is by ARR.
so most probably KK and MUtalvan will be on
new year, alaipayuthey on ponggal and engineer
on next deepavali.Shankar never released any of his movies on deepavali.Since his muthalvan is alow budget movie compare to his earlier one,definitely this is not a deepavali release.
hey ram is a deepavali release.Whatever movies is coming this deepavali, i think Vijayakanth's 'Vaanatthey Pozhe' with vikraman and sa rajkumar as MD will be the winner.
remember what happened to iruvar and minsara kanavu, only bharathi kannamma was a super hit
on that time.

enakku oru doubt...,
Mudhalvan is expected in a few days , as per the ad in Dina Thanthi yesterday . KK is also expected soon .
The Mudhalvan promos are showing on satellite channels with a song sung by S.Janaki with heavy beats and chorus. It seems to be the title song .

Hi,
Taj Mahal is not your usual masala film album . There are a couple of Bharathi Raja type songs with dialogue as well , high pitched ARR style folk songs as in Kizhakku Cheemayile and Karuthamma . The first song "Thirupacchi Arivala" really stands out after the first listening sung by Sriram and co . There is the usual En Iniya Thamizh makkale ... from BR .Krishnaraj sings for the first time with ARR . Overall the album is really quite good from ARR, with him coming out with something different that puts him at a slot higher from the Devas and SARs of TFM

Listen to mudhalvan trailor from aingharan.com.

The first number is a surefire hit. Azhagaana raatchasiyey has traces of 'Reethi Gowla' mimicking 'thalayai guniyum thaamarayey'- another guaranteed hit number.

Uppu karuvaadu - is like 'kozhikunju thedivandha gopala'.

Hi everybody

I have not been able to hear to songs of TajMahal, except for
Kulirudhu...(thanks to Kaushik Srenevasan)
As soon as I purchase the cassette/Cd or if all songs are available on
line, I will post a review.

For now, Kulirudhu... --is in SindhuBhairavi. ARR's next SindhuBhairavi
based composition after 'Margazhithingal allava..' from Sangamam.
This time he has managed to bring yet another facet of this versatile
raga.
The main melody line is superb, although some lines do remind one of
Raja's melody composition technique. However, the orchestration,
interludes are typical of ARR with a wonderful violin piece in good
classical sindhubhairavi 'raga latchanam'. UnniKrishnan's voice sounds
melodius; the female singer--?Swarnalatha sounds somewhat nasal. Need
to hear the original tape to comment more. Overall the song is worth
atleast a 7.5/10 (preliminary as original recording may upgrade this
rating)

I was hearing the trailer of songs of Mudhalvan. The song 'azhagana rakshashiye...." sounded to me like "thalayai kuniyum thamarayee..." and "meetadha oru veenai......". Did someone notice the same thing??

I had just mentioned a few threads above. The songs adapts 'Reethi Gowla' and hence the resemblance to the above mentioned songs of IR.
