What are the plans for celebrating IR's 25th Year in the film Induatry

  I think all of you are right. Although the cover photo might be appealing, the cassette/cassette case are both in pink ...
  
  And I agree with rajaG on the quality of Echo cassettes ... none of them ever mention the singer/lyricist --- I have one with me which does not even mention the MD.
  
  In this respect, HMV cassettes are much better. They have released a set of 4 cassettes titled Hits of Illayaraja, containing digitally remastered versions of his old hits. The inlay card diligently details the movie,lyricist,and even the year of release.

  ECHO: that ppl nu neenga pirichchu pEsiyiruppadhu 'directly under the supervision of Ilayaraja' thaan! A person with more respect for others talents would (needs to) make sure that atleast all major contributors to the output are recognized. BTW, I wonder when (if) Bhavadharini performs for her father (okay! perform ellaam periya vaarththa thaan), if Echo acknowledges her "contribution":-)

  Dear IR fans,
  
  It is high time, we all should write to magazines,prompt them and build a consensus. Another thing will be to write to the CM. Due to his association with the film world and the good rapport IR shares with him, this will surely happen. Can we all come forward?

  Long time back I gave a suggestion that all IR related sites should put up a banner recognising 25 yrs of IR in film music...it went to deaf years....
  
  
  Make this thread real active folks.....let your thoughts and ideas flow.....

  Could weall arrange programs around US for felicitating him.We should invite him in person to alldifferent places and do it.That would be a great idea.If someon brings him here, on behalf of Tamilmanram we wouldbe ready to host such a program even if it is a mega budget.

  Ya that can be done.... But There should be a mega event in Madras.....Where all the people from the cinefield east-west-north-south everyone should assemble and felicitate the great maestro!!!!.... I will even be willing to fly to india for the event!

  tamil film association itself can take a initiative........ Saratkumar has been elected to the top post I beleive.....
  
  All the directors ....(even those who ditched him) who had IR has their backbone can take the initiative...
  
  Kamal && Rajini can take the initiative...
  
  SuntV can take the initiative....
