  First of all, IR never did a great service to Kamal anytime - he did what he dearly liked to - ie compose music. And of course, only reason Kamal had him was the fact that his music sold well those days. Now if he feels IR's music doesnt sell he is perfectly within his rights to have another MD for that.
  
  
  But a great musical treat is lost because of that - of course Kamal alone is not to be blamed for that. After all he is the one who is risking tens of crores on this project to start with right ?? It is just business.

  For what may I ask? are you writing a 'Statement of Purpose"?. If you ask me, I don't care much about what the fans of ARR feel anyway. I just consider that they're not worth talking to. I just take them to be a bunch of show-offs just bullying around, trying to revise the terminologies they learnt in their music lessons, and paining us in that process. I'm not here to appease anybody. Well, may I ask, all glories to you, but who're you to 'Fight" for IR? HE doesn't need commanders like you. All he needs is to produce a musical masterpiece to shut the mouths of his critics. Why can't he do that? The answer HE IS NOT GIVEN THAT CHANCE.
  
  And Raj, you were talking about 'Veerathalattu". You know what, I pity you for the reason that you're forcing yourself to buy CDs just because of the reason that the music is by IR. Do you think, IR will get back his name and fame, if he keeps composing music for those kinds of B-Graded films?
  Do you think sony will sign up a deal with him if he is the MD for some Vignesh Movie? You might give a counter-point that as a fan, we needn't worry about the banner, but just worry about his music. BUt, I think I'm not only a fan( A DHF at that), but also a well-wisher. There is a big line of difference between those two.
  Don't you feel that IR is slowly fading away and he needs to come back with a bang? Don't you feel he needs to get another movie like Agni Nakshathiram or Thalapathy? Well if you keep saying that you don't bother about even if it is
  "Chinna Thurai" or even 'Veerathalattu" for that matter, then

  I fail to understand what you mean by `IR badly needs a break'?? Well, he would have needed it in 1975 or 1976. 2 decades from then, after climbing all the `everests' in south film field -which includes a language that is an official language of at least three NATIONS (I mean our lovely mother tongue), what kind of break do you mean man?
  
  Do you mean he should compose for some X movie in a filmfield shrouded with plagiarists and tasteless buddies with a state-pushed language spoken in some parts -like lallu's bihar - of one country?
  
  Come on, lets hope for some better works for Raja! He does not need any film anymore to etch out a niche in the hearts of at least a million of admirers! (This is a gross underestimate considering the world Tamizh population of around 70 mn)
  
  IMHO, he should be doing something classical-like releasing his syomphony at any cost - to get bracketed into the realm where he will be remembered after 10 generations from now! Or he should come out with a classic like Thirukkural or Kambaramayana in Music (Why not a great work like `Kuralum Kuzhalum' featuring the complete work of Thiruvalluvar with great instrumental accompaniment and lovely tunes?)!
  
  That is what we should wish for Raja! No more movie stuff - let his sons take care of that area which is too low for IR to stoop down now -even if it is a project by Kamal, MR, BR or KB for that matter. They're worth the music of only ARR, KR or YSR.
  
  Raja is a much sought-after-musician even now in south film field (I'm writing this sitting at Kerala where he is held in very very high esteem), a time when even his children have started composing! What is there for him to prove or break-into?
  
  If he has any monetary issues, let him release a statement! There are a million to support him on their heads for the rest of his lifetime. WE WANT EXTRA-MOVIAL STUFF FROM RAJA - least of the Sharukkkan kind of movie stuff anyway!
  
  Sorry if I have sounded crazy! But to think of Raja-needing-a-break caught on my nerve, really, after living with his music for 22+ years!!

  Vimal: I can understand your adhangam but the last thing I thought anyone would call me in this DF was Objective..:)). As for Veera thalattu , well, I must admit, a DHRF, though I am, I have but three cassettes and no CD's of Raja. But then I dont even own a music system:)). So, dont waste your pity:)). What Raja needs is not AN, D, or even Roja. WHat he needs is a big break in WCM. Kamal is foolish enough to believe LSubs can do justice to a movie. Even Satyajit Ray made the mistake initially of going to established musicians who didnt understand Cinema. Kamal, after experienceing Raja, is committing the same mistake. He'll learn and he'll learn it the hard way...just be porumai..BTW, Do you think Shahrukh will stay in the movie..after half-a-schedule he'll realise Kamal is giving him the saamaram-holder role and walk out. Mark my words...and then what will happen to the movie's profile?And why do we have to get a certificate from 'Patna University' for him?Or, for that matter, Ranchi university? See, those guys go by hype and even though Raja's album may be succesful, they'll never bother about a mottai, old man. What happened to Uttam Singh, inspite of giving a super-super hit in DTPH? Avaru turban-aiyum, naraicha dhaadiyaium paarthuttu oram kattittanga. To make it really big in HFM, you need hype...iduppu varaikkum thalai mudi, illaina kena thanamana jamaica cricket pitch maadhiri hairstyle edhavadhu. Adhellam namma thalaivarukku thevaiya? Adhuvum indha vayasula?:))
  
  As for B-Grade movies, who are we to decide...it is these same kind of movies that sustained him at one point of time. And not all of these are rotten...He's simply magical in Poonthottam, Ki.Me., MVU. Dont tell me otehrwise! Just because people in TN aren't interested, I wouldnt reject a "Meettadha oru veenai" as B-Grade.
  
  Ippo enna, Kamal ditched him avvalavu thaane. Dont worry Vimal thalaiva..ellam iraivan kaiyil thaan irukku. Rajakku avvalavu thiramai kudutha iraivan avarukku kidaikka vendiya pugazhaiyum kaalappokkil koduppaar. Ippo konjam sodhikkiraar avvalavu thaan. Afterall, before Annakkili, what all he went through. You cannot keep a good man down for long...

  "You wouldn't understand the frustration and disappointment that was going thro' in my mind. I just stand by my statement. If you'd read that areticle, he's coolly said, " The unit includes many famous persons like L.Subbu, Sabu Cyril, Thirunavukkarasu and Sarika".
  Well, Sarika! Do you think she's the best in costume designing??? Tell me one movie of hers with the costumes being so notable.
  Well, if this guy can pull in a charcter as Sarika and portray her as the best, JUST WHY NOT IR? "
  
  
  And Vimal! Now I understand why Kamal ditched Raja! See, he knew Sarika had to be made CostumeD for HR(Vera vazhiye illai:)). Appadi akkina appuram, he he knew he would have to give statements like the above. In that case saying "...famous personalitiess like IR, Saarika...." will be a deep insult to Raja to bracket him with Sarika. So, Kamal wanted to avoid this. Sarika-vai vuttu kudukka mudiyathu ...So, he decided not to insult Raja and took someone else . Idhukku Ippadi kovichittengalae? Maaraga, Nenega kamalai paaratti allava irukkanum?:)))

  I feel the way Eden feels. What is there for IR to accomplish any more in Indian film music. There is a nonsense audience out there these days. Only TN deserved IR and he gave it like even gods will hesitate to be that generous. Enouhg of film music from IR. It is con time in India, and ARR, the greatest con artist I have seen in my life is causin havoc. We have the greatest in India back to back. Greatest composer (IR) and the greatest conman (ARR). Eden, I am all with you things are out of hand in India today.

  What's wrong in the selection of LSubs as the MD for Hey Ram? We all know LSubs is a great musician and not just a violinist. He has given us a fabulous score in Salaam Bombay (So, he's not new to films either.)
  
  If Kamal finds LSubs to be appropriate for the subject, what's the harm? I'm sure this selection is NOT because of the market value of the MD. He didn't rope in ARR, you see? (In any case I don't think this film will have any songs!!! so there will be hardly any revenue earned from album sales:)

  why don't we see it this way (though I'm tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo biased when it comes to kamal).Maybe he wants his union with Raja with a big bang and he wants that to happen in his dream project Marud (he hasn't announced yet that raja has been removed as one gentleman ,who claims to be having contacts with rajkamal international ,pointed out)

  And even if he comes out and announces that Raja is not there, we are least bothered. It's not going to help him anyway. It might relieve IR a lot of hard work (Vizhalukku iraiththa neer) for a probable disaster.
