Srikanth,
None of your statements about ARR or IR irked me. U said something about IR interviews and I said what I know about his interviews and so have few others. Then u come up with statement that we do IR vandanam. That is what irked me. U posed the question and some of us try to answer with what we know. Since we respect your views shouldn't you try to reciprocate. It is easy to dismiss others by saying simple things but then what's the point of healthy discussion?

I am very sorry, that was not my intention.
I know few times Raja has spoken about MSV alone, I posted for clarification, but the track changed,
Let us have a healthy discussion.
BTW: I am sitting in a com training and posting in-between,

Srikanth,
What irked me was -
(I have heard what they talk about IR in ARR
quaters),
I did not expect this kind of statement from you. Ofcourse, I am all for carrying on a healthy discussion. And we do. This is one of the reasons I spend some time on newtfmpage.com bulletin boards.

THis kind of questions also puzzles me, why all the time, we expect ARR or IR to say something
about their seniors. I mean, what if ARR did not
like IR at all?, Whats wrong in saying that in public?, why we have to be so emotional on that?.
I also heard thru one of my friend, who knows
anand ( agosh fame), that he is also not a big
time IR fan. I think, it may be true for people
who grew up with lot of pop music, that IR music did not appeal and ARR could be one of them.

hari,
its not wrong if ARR says in public that he does not like IR's music. but the fact is he does'nt. he does not want to spoil his image of being a humble nice guy with the media. at the same time he for some reason or the other finds it difficult to open heartedly praise IR. he ends up giving disguised and confused answers over which we have to break our heads trying to understand the meaning.
if he had open heartedly said that he did not like IR or his music i would have liked him better for his frankness.

Hi!
If ARR ever tells that he doesn't like IR's music, he will immediately be labeled as being 'arrogant' and definitely not as being 'frank'! I remember sometime back ARR acknowledged IR by giving him an ornament in a public function. What more do we want?
Now,..reversing the question..what does IR think of ARR? Has IR ever encouraged ARR? So many people have praised IR profusely(actors,directors,producers,etc.).Has IR praised any of these people? Should he be frank and tell that he thinks all those guys are crap?
There are different kinds of people. Some people praise everyone. This they do to remain in the good books of everyone. For example, Rajini will praise even Deva for some lifted tune. Some people praise only a few while some people don't praise anyone!
Whatever ARR thinks of IR, IR's music is not going to change. Enough people have praised, appreciated IR. IR's work is the testimony to his talent. Why do we need ARR to say that IR is a genius?

By the time I went thru all the responses, I kept
losing track of the points and counterpoints, and
know I am confused about the argument itself ! Why blame ARR.. for
lack of frankness.. why should someone be frank ? Like
someone said maybe, he is not a fan of IR.. that does'nt
mean that he is an enemy either. The fault is obviously
with these reporters... asking such sensational question
that fuels people like us. It would be best if we would not react to such things. Lets do something to stop this constant thrashing. Let the pro-ARR's go on seperately.. let the pro-IR's discuss seperately... lets not have anti-wings. Maybe we should discuss about this somewhere else.

Jann,
A small digression.
> There are different kinds of people. Some > people praise everyone. This they do to remain
> in the good books of everyone. For example, > Rajini will praise even Deva for some lifted > tune.
I agree that Rajni is that kind of a person who praises everyone, including Deva. But I can't accept that Rajni praises Deva to remain in his good book. It is actually the reverse
