ARR is the KING of Theme Music while IR is the DON of BGM!

All times in EST +10:30 for IST.

I feel IR is unmatchable in BGM, few of this examples are from the films "House Full", "Dalapathy", "Nayakan", and the list goes on........, while on the other hand ARR is the King, when it comes to theme music like "12ka4", "Ratchahan", "muthu", .....
any body agree with me?

Oh yes, I am great fan of both of them, so no fightings pls :))

  a.r.rahman has taken music into a diff spectrumm ..allmost redefined the entire format.
  THE RESULTANT IS AWESOME.. THATS WHY HIS MUSIC HAS REACHED ALL OVER THE GLOBE AND FULL INDIA..

  The supposedly popular directors who work with ARR already looking for oppurtunities. The only way to become un popular is to hire ARR as their MD. There is one exception though "Laagan" because of the director.

  hello guys .... i really dunno why ... there allways wwf fight going between IR s fans and ARR s ... fans... itz good both are good intheir own... in a creative field like music.. comparison is one the least thing the ignorant ppl will do.. iwish plz never post topics like this .. itz a great shame on legends like IR and ARR.
  have any guys in western world had made such disccussion like ... whether mozart is great r bethoven ... does tht sound stupid. ,,, yep moreover . iwanna say somthg... abt ARR bombay dreams.... wht ARR did is a stage concert composed for a person (andrew webber) but where as wht IR did is a symphony... which can be released only if itz accepted by all western classical critics.. .. indian style musical notes and western classical are quite different. WHT IR TRIED IS TO DO A EXPERIMENT BY FUSING INDIAN STYLE WITH THE WESTERN CLASSICAL.. SINCE ITZ A EXPERIMENT. ITZ ALWAYS HAS RAGE CRITICAL REVIEWS....it happend to bethoven and even to mozart ,.,,, even their symphonies were acclaimed high after their life period... so ... dnt blame .. IR .. without knowing wht had happend ... (the sources are from john scott webpage).... moreover.. wht IR did is not a commercial one... so comparing commercial project with a legendrary project is a gr8 shame....

  hope every 1 know about apache indian(steven kapoor) his first two albums r huge hit... coz... itz sounds unique... even uknow junoon was a huge hit , khaleed was a huge hit intheir first album ... coz they r unique from wht we hear normally.. but whn they come with same kinda repetition ... they goto pack their boxes back home.. so as wht ARR is doing now... his bombay dreams was considered to be hit... coz ..westeners werent familiar with indian kinda western mix songs.... ( though it havent gain much hype in broadway).. anythgnew taste good in the beginnig...

  if u wanna hear western music .. there r lots aa albums availbale... ARR has stated frankly he came to west to make money .. as in india we dnt have . royalites...
  u can be proud tht 1 music director from india has gone west... hereafter he gotto bend to western style so as to survive... like manoj night shyamalan ... did in his sixth sense... though hez an indian he gotto to shoot a movie which is apt for the westeners .. he cant enforce
  an indian theme there ...but ... IR always want to be within tamilnadu... he allways want to continue his musical journey within tamilnadu.... itz his wish... itz not tht ... he cant achieve above tht... he dedicated his whole creativeness towards giving pure tamil based song.... which lingers still in all tamilians mind...so dnt get mad... by dicussing abt this topic... so again i conclude... both r genious in their own way.. the way they chose is quiet different..t tht's it.... so plz stop posting wrong comments about .IR.......... definitely.... the songs....... he gave to us r long losting... moreover try to respect.... musical genious.. if ur . a real musical lover .. u will never post such idiotic comments about the living legends
