With hariharan getting to sing a song in almost every film including films done by IR there is a popular notion that he might be the next SPB.But my doubt is whether he would create the same impact that SPB had in the last twenty years, or would he fade away soon? also is he capable and versatile enough
of holding the top spot in TFM ?awaiting your opinions.

Hi,
It is so unfair to compare SPB with Hariharan.SPB
is the best improviser when it comes to converting
some pretty pedestrian compositions into great
hits.Whether we like it or not the truth id IR benefited the most from this capabilityof SPB.
Also we should not forget that Hari has started his Tamilfilm career very late and did not get a chance to compete in his youth with Stalwarts like SPB, TMS and KJY.
Also, the emphasis is changed from good and original tunes to imaginative interludes and background score. So the singers donot have as much scope as SPB and singers before him had.
If hariharan cannotmeet the standards set by SPB it is not because of his incapacity to do so,but because of the changed style of film music score

Hot news
Hariharan has gone states in search of an equipment which will allow to improvise and sing vividly. So, we will wait and see for HH's next album. by the by, "kadalvedam" has grossed more than "vandemataram" by ARR in chennai itself. In hindi, it was a super hit.

guys/girls,
i also start in the usual way.. HH can no way be compared with SPB. coz,
1. the voice culture
2. the melody
3. the depth in singing
4. the ranges (may it be high or low)
5. the style
6. the dynamism
7. the grace
none of the above is prevalent with HH.
