Teja,
Dig:
"Oru kiLiyin thanimayilE iru kiLiyin uravu" is from the movie "Poo Vizhi VaasalilE".
Not the female group song but try this just in case this is what you want: http://www.dhool.com/cgi-bin/display.pl?order=movie&query=movie+like+'aruvadai%'&start=0&offset=40&prevq=movie+like+'aruvadai%'

Thanks for the link, but this wasn't the song I was looking for. It sounds something like 'poovin...xxx xxx kannane theduthe' by S Janaki and chorus.
End Dig:-)

WN,
yes, IMVHO, I feel not many people here r honest. Some people here will say yeslah IR's the best lah no matter what crap he releases. And we all know it. U may think tat these people r honest, but I dont.
Is that includes u too???!! Of course, u do the same for ARR... IMVHO!

>>>Is that includes u too???!! Of course, u do the same for ARR... IMVHO!
But, we are honet enough to admit that Baba fell short of expectation and nevertheless appealed to us after couple of listening. ARR fans themself express their right opinions there. If you read them you will understand, but IR fans there were too harsh and ugly. They keep shut to an album like Devan, but shout at Baba without even listening to it, in the first place.
I have read in this forum, people saying that EMV should be give a 3-4 listening and the songs will sink. Shouldn't the same logic applied to all other album.
You people are lucky, that your thread has been spared. It is fairly neat and decent still.

It's a very stupid to think that just because you did not like an album, that you consider those who say they like an album as dishonest.
I really loved "En Mana Vaanil" - really do not care if you did not like it, nor if you think it is a dishonest opinion.
But just want to point out the utter stupidity of casting aspersions on an alternate opinion just because it does not fit with yours.

Are Yaar,
There was never big expectations of Devan nor a big hype. But still many people condemned that album in this thread.
But much was expected from Baba, because of both Rajini and ARR hype. After taking considerable time to get the music(That too just songs only not BGM. BGM is done by Sabesh Murali as I know), it was not all that great.(not worth that waiting and hype).
Probably this is the reason people act harsh on that.
Tell me your honest opinion, that are we getting as good songs as GENTLE MAN these days from ARR. He has also faded much from his past.
Last good album from him in Tamil was Kandukonden Kandukonden and it was before two years.

Don't make a fool of your self. BGM is by ARR as told by Suresh Krishna in a TV interview. Did you see the rap for Rajini in Baba?. I saw it in Gemini Channel and I am sure it will impress many.

Talking of BGMs, self has noticed that IR is a rare film musician who has given two versions of a song, one a happy version and the other 'pathos'/'sad' version with a same tempo/speed/thala-kattu but with an altered interlude, prelude BGM.
Every other musician or most of them slow down the tempo for the sad version & retains the tune. But IR has maintained the same tempo (that which has been used in the happy version), but just changes the BGM, and you get a different "sad/Pathos" version at the same tempo & tune.
Some examples,
a) 'Ival oru ilangili' & 'Engirundho ilankuyilin' from Brahma (Note how the tempo is the same, but due to change in interlude/prelude BGM, the song changes emotion)
b) 'Oorurangum saamathile' - This song is in 'Pudhupatti Ponnuthaayi'...same tempo, just brilliant change of BGM and the'sad version' is ready.
c) 'Naan yerikarai melirundhu' from Chinnathaayi.
d) 'Thai pongalum vandhadhu' & 'anbaana thaayai vittu enge nee ponaalum' from Mahanadhi (and two other versions with same speed/tempo with stunningly different emotions)
e) 'vellai pura onru' - the happy & sad versions are both awesome. Perhaps the only song which used KALYANI for a sad situation.
f) 'Dhoori dhoori' from 'Thendral sudum' - Two powerful versions, (happy & sad). Just listen to how the first charanam breaks off abruptly into a violin orchestration and melts back to lead voice. You almost feel the pain of the deprived child seeking her mother (as per the movie situation)

The magical combination of Ilayaraja and Vamsy that created evergreen classics in tollywood like Sitara, Anveshana, Aalapana, Maharshi, April 1 vidudala.. and many more is back with 'Swaparaagaleenam'. Vamsy is supposed to make this film with his style of poetic touch.. IR likes Vamsy's style of picturization a lot, he provided excellent BGM and songs for all his films. No doubt IR will give his best to this film. Can't wait to hear the music.

anveshana is one of the best movies I have ever seen (songs as well as BGM wise)..... It is a suspense thriller and IR's BGM dominates through out the movie - Ilalo song is a great one and so is keeravani.

Vem,
Did you listen to Sitara BGM. I am sure you will love it. I feel it is the best BGM by IR so far. The whole of Bhanupriya's flashback episode has wonderful BGM. Anveshana, Aalapana and most of the other Vamsy-IR combo films have haunting BGM. Those films are a treat to music lovers.

Teja, that's a exciting posting about the new IR-Vamsy combination. Indeed it was a dream combination. Add maharishi, ladies taylor, April1 viduthala, detective naradha also to your list. IR experimented a lot with vamsy movies. that song 'evarulu' from detective naradha - one line a new tune from IR and the next line from an old telugu song and the next a new tune and the next from the same old song all in a same beat until the end song. what an experimentation!
btw, was the audio/movie 'Love in RamojiRao filmcity' released ?

it says it is doing very well and breaking records in the market. looks like a general way of adding hype. looks like it doing well. thats all. should look for a site which gives market/trade figures or atleast a pulse of the market.

Vem,
The link says that IR got together 50 violinists for one of the songs (By Hariharan), and Shruti Kamal and KJJ sang a song together.
It also says the cassette sales are breaking records all over TN.

EMV is only average ..But two songs are very good .and both are sung by Hariharan ,Excwept ofr that others are average stuff .Ths song sung by Yesudas and sruti kamal should have been more touching ,considereing the lycrics ,but it turns out to be a average Number.
Perhaps on repeasted hearing two more can be intresting
