  Very Happy to know this news (IR for Pentafour's Movie). I think Sujatha is also involved in the movie.
  
  However, I have a slight Kuzappam.,
  
  When Crazy Mohan came here (Hyderabad) for a Drama., He introduced all his team members to the crowd during the break. He also introduced his Music Director 'Ramesh' (This guy recently released one Ayyappan songs cassette sung by UnniKrish., 'Aaha Oho Ayyappaa' - Released by Ilayaraja). Appo CrazyMohan told 'This guy is very talented., Cinemaa vaayppukkaaka rompa naaLaa try paNRaan., Ippoothaan kidaichchirukku. Pentafour is making Mahabharatha story as an animated movie and this guy is doing the music'., (Remember Crazy's Aasthaana Director S B Kanthan (Mauli's Brother) is the movie's director.)

  Yaathramozhi is a Malayalam movie released sometime between '96 and '98. Yes, the songs are available on the net. I think you can find it at www.mail-bag.com. If you cannot find it there, let me know & I can mail you the exact link from my Favorites in Real Player!!.

  There are so many songs of IR which provide that feeling of ecstasy. Iam happy to read about
  your feelings on hearing one such immortal
  classics of IR.
  
  Greatest thing about such songs are their simplicity without the hype of digital recording.
  As I have been mentioning in this forum often,
  real musical knowledge is important more than
  the sound related recording knowledge. Having
  only the recording knowledge qualifies a person
  to be a sound engineer rather than a music
  director !
  
  Also the enthrallment that is experienced while
  listening to a song is important than checking
  out whether the song covers all the frequency
  bands in the graphic equalizer !
  
  The interludes in the Pon Veyilile are
  too good and can't be composed by every
  MD.

  For the first time I listened to "Shiva Malli Poovey" from the movie Friends. If this song is gonna appear in the tamizh version, its gonna be a sure chart buster. I just loved the veenai interludes and of course Chitra's awesome rendering. I can hear the early years IR.

  The beginning of Shiva Mallip Poove strongly reminded me of a old Raja song 'Poovaadaik Kaatru, vandhu aadai theendudhu' (which film is this?). When I heard S.M.P. just sometime back, even without my knowledge, after the first three words I murmurred 'nana nanaa' :-) Of course the tune changes totally after those first three words. Its a great song of its own! Now, I am getting restless to buy this CD :-)

  Poovaadai kaatru - is a fantastic song .I guess that song doesnt appear in the movie .Similarly ,putham pudhu kaatre also is not in the movie Alaigal oivathillai .I donno why the directors waste these golden evergreen songs .

  I am sorry about that .Frankly speaking ,I watched the movie in Sun TV just to see that song .Once the introductory guitar piece came ,the song was cut .Anyway the guitar piece in en purushan than song is a real master piece .

  I saw the song in SUNTv also., Ofcourse not on the movie but in some other program where they showed lot of IR songs. So I guess they cut the song in the movie due to time/some other constraint., But the song is picturised with Mohan and Radha and I am sure about that. :-)

  Shivi Malli Poove, the whole song that is, is set in Shanmukhapriya. A return to this scale after a long time for IR. (The last one was in Kadhal Rojave).
