Illayaraja student

Would it be possible to have the student name of the great composer Illayaraja other than his son Kartik ?

  All these thing about ARR's humility is a farce. I think it is a well orchestrated PR campaign by either him or his backers.
  
  I am of this view because if I was ARR and I rationally analyzes my contributions thus far and compare that to what IR has contributed, I would come out and state that my contributions are still only a fraction of what IR has contributed. If he has the honesty to own up to such facts and disown overly exaggerated claims of his contributions, then I would accept he has humility. him as "Mozart of Madras"...Come on! But he is very clever in building this image of himself. It is a farce and so carefully orchestrated by him and his backers. I for one will not be fooled by this farce but hey you guys are welcome to be sucked in to the humilty farce show by ARR.

  No cn, it wasn't as decent as u portray it to be.......IR was particularly very cheap abt. ARR.......neways leave it.....we all know who is sachin tendulkar(ARR) now and who is the naked lady now......
  In an young world edition dating some 8 yrs back, ARR had said that he learnt from IR that artistes indeed can lead a chaste life......i think it is a gr8 honour for IR to get such a appreciation from the "Khuda of Music" himself.......

  Muthu: I had a light music band in 81-82 and we mainly used to play Illayaraja's and MSV's music. What I learnt from him is that musicians needed to take cociane and alchohol to compose good music, music discipline and music with variety. During my days with him, I was a pet. Since he had worked for my father, he regarded me like his son. But I was working nearly around 13 years in films and his was the last two years. I needed a change, that's why I took up a diferent genre of music. He is a genuis!

  i remember another interview where arr sed he learnt "discipline" from working with IRR. he also sed IR's speed was unbelievable (cant remember which interview though)...im sure he has a lot of respect for IRR as a MD.
