  Shankar, we're digressing more and more, just to say, again, if people used their real names, this confusion will not happen. I meant useless acronyms for names like Clarify, not for MEIL, anyway, Thanks for telling me what it is. I am not a sporadic visitor FYI, however, this is a confusion of names and I didn't mean to drag you into it. I hope I don't have to apologise anymore and that you won't create threads for this sort of stuff. Previous pages don't tell me who you all are(I remember UV though - mainly because of certain memorable postings) and I don't have a habit of memorising proxys....Sorry again to have put you through this needless hassle.

  Geetha: 1. I didnt intend to attack you inmy first post.If you had paid attention, you would have noticed the :), which was supposed to indicate a funny, rather than, inflamatory remark. Okay, you didnt notice that. Fine. But... ...2)I stated this clearly in my second post. If you still didnt understand and f you misinterpreted it and hurt yourself(Boy!What a talent!) ,well, I am polite enough to apologise for being an unwitting cause of your hurt. I only suggest that you dont throw words like CRASS etc. without understanding what the poster meant. I have never overstepped the politeness boundaries in this forum. Nor do I wish to now. So, I am not reacting to your rather paranoid suggestion that I am picking on you because you are a girl.(YOUR STATEMENT:" By the way, just as it's not nice to pick on people for ther musical tastes, it's not nice to pick on girls, I notice you do this, as you think that we're too weak willed to fight back") Suffice to say this kind of wanton , unsubstantiated, unjustified mud-slinging hurts me...can you even pick one instance in this forum where I have commented on ANYONE personally ?(BTW, my serious posts are under the name Raj@*.deshaw.com...infact, when I am not using my name , I am only being flippant...except when I used clarify[1] here in this thread to suggest that I am clearing myself of the mindless accusations you had made in the post previous to the one where I used the name clarify[1]....You can throw your net far and wide in this forum to catch me attacking ANYONE, let alone a girl... I must inform you beforehand that you will never succeed in finding such a post, for the simple reaon that it doesnt exist) The rest of the accusations, I can forget as a product of a paranoid mind. But please note that 1)You have misinterpreted my post. 2)On top of it, made some untasteful personal remarks against me.I dont even want to react to those. 3)Seem to think that every IR-fan(atic) is waiting to pull you down. Let me tell you, I just found out your name like you found put mine. I knew nothing more of u, save your "ARR RASIGAR" title when I wrote my first post. I caught up with your past , unfortunate bashing at the hands of some real troublemakers only after your outburst. 4) Inspite of my clearing in my second post that my remarks were not serious , you have gone on to make all sorts of impolite remarks. Well, even assuming I had intentionally hurt you in my first post, which would be a wrong assumption in the first place, these remarks transcend all limits of politeness. Considering that mine was a harmless statement intended to be funny, these impolite remarks sound ominously violent. Still, I have the politeness not to react emotionally even after such provocation. Your post is full of unsubstantiated and unsubstantiable remarks about me. If I had a more fragile mind I would have cried foul like you. But I dont(have a fragile mind). So, I am ignoring even violent barbs like "you look silly ". (Who is impolite?) Lastly, about not using real names, see how ridiculosly easy it was for you to find my name ? I will certainly not be apologetic about my love for IR.If anyone calls me a blind fanatic for that I dont care. As I said I didnt use my name only because my post was not serious. If you interpret that as fear of being spotted, again what can i say? One last sincere suggestion: Dont throw words like CRASS, silly just like that. Unlike a harmless post containing a clear indicative ":)" , these words are SURELY impolite and are in poor taste. And please do try to take this forum, I repeat ,less seriously. That will help you to see humour where it is meant instead of paranoid reactions. Now, to your supporters: Dear sirs/madams: I am glad to see a girl-in-distress attracts so much sympathy and affection here. But for God's sake, dont take sides without understanding the other side as well. Before you call anyone a troublemaker try to understand what he/she meant thoroughly. I have been indicted here in this thread unfairly and I am disappointed. BTW, clarify@mot.com is not poor shankar. Poor fellow, just the other day someone else bashed him for a statement he didnt make. Now, he gets this. Some luck, this , shankar!:) Ravi, this whole digression deserves to be deleted. I had to write this post to clear myself of ridiculous accusations like picking on girls. I sicnerely appeal to you to delete both these ridiculous statements and my clarification,thereof. Geetha: Lets not pursue a hostile course . If I have come across as strong and impolite in THIS post, I apologise. But, to be honest, I wish you had the non-fragility to see my remark as it was meant to be in the first place -funny. It would have saved us both a great deal of time, and typing eeffort :)

  Just some observations from your posts. I am not going to brand myself as biased or unbiased. I think we are all in some stages of self realization and on the day I achieve it completely I need not tell anybody about it. You will get to know it from public media.
  
  1) I thought your first post regarding the review of ESK was under the name ARR Rasigan. Gee, I wonder! Would you call that a 'useless acronym' or were you using that to bait non-ARR fans into an argument? Oh by the way, the word you are looking for is psuedonym (punaippeyar) not acronym.
  2) You tend to shout (use bold letters) too frequently. I am surprised that a seasoned surfer (as you claim that you are) is not aware that such unnecessary bold letters are considered rude.
  3) Your quote - "my knowledge in music surpasses yours." My! My! Just curious is humulity your middle name.
  4) Your quote - "my use of strong language was without intent" - Does this mean it comes naturally to you? I would agree.
  5) Your quotes - " Go on, slap me" "hit me again" - Is there a problem/trait that we need to be aware of?
  6) Your quote - "I am a regular visitor - maybe more than you guys"- Somehow your choice of language does'nt suggest this.
  
  I am not a seasoned DFer like some of you are. However, I have seen most of the posts and of course, Raj's posts too. I do not necessarily agree with his views or his undenying support for IR. However, I believe he presents his thoughts based on a combination of logic, humor and ofcourse some bias, which overall, according to me makes very enjoyable reading (and communication). You may not agree. But I have to say this. I have not found his postings to be personally offensive. Believe me, I have sparred with him on TFM topics too. And I do not know him personally, except that ( I am guessing here) both of us are P G Wodehouse fans.
  
  People use pseudonyms for various reasons. Cowardice is almost never one of them.

  Geetha, I enjoyed your review of ESK. Too bad you fell for the fan club vitriol. Please concentrate on threads about music for it would be a pleasure for people like me to read. I have also been delighted by Sriram's knowledge in ragams as he has shown in some of the few combat-free threads in the forum.   Indian express and ARR. The judge panel must be some 25 year old guys hearing music for the first time, and they themselves got their Usilampatti crowd of about 50 listeners and gone about voting 17000 times! Man, what a sad state of musical affairs. Like audience, like composer!
