  This is the excerpt written by vijaykar on the music of tall on musicals of subhash ghai.

  Now read what he says about gentleman ( hindi) score by anumalik
  
  he even compromised by copying three Rehman numbers officially for the Hindi remake of The Gentleman.
  
  This is hilarious.
  Even if we assume that tall music was LP inspired, that is done, because ARR does not have creative talent, not because, he was forced to compromise by the pride punjabi Ghai
  But anumalik copied the songs, not because of his creative limitations, but because, he was forced to compromise by mahesh bhatt ( glad to know, that how anu malik compromised so much by copying in all his films).
  
  I can live with all the ARR bashing here in this page, and they may have some reason comparing with IR ( though most of them are mis-placed), but this basing from vijakar will take the cake.

  This sure was hilarious.. I had read the "ghai" article but not the gentleman one... :-) I wonder whether there will be even a single person who takes this "vijakar" seriously..... BTW I'm ready to give "supaari" for killing this "vijakar".. any professionals out there?? :-)

I thought they have released only in Theaters... I'm duing here to see the promos....

  I just caught the last few frames of the promos on Zee....I cursed myself for switching to the channel late...keep an eye and ear open...you can catch it on Zee..I think that they'll be airing it regularly...

  :-) common_freind... lone_ranger wasn't talking about Vijaykar on ZEE... He was talking about Lagaan's promo (trailor, teaser... whatever makes you understand... )... If you want to see this, just switch the channel on whenever they show new movie promos... though I myself haven't had much luck...because haven't got access to TV for some time now.. :-(

  Sorry if u misunderstood...I meant the Lagaan promos on Zee TV...I channel surf a lot between Sun Tamil, Sony, MTV and Zee as these are freely available in my apartments...so I caught the last few frames of the Lagaan promo by chance...let me know if u see it and what you think of the music.

  Heard the complete Lagaan promo...beginning music reminds you of Taal promo beginning ...but it was too short to make anything else out...so I guess its too early to comment...

  yes you are... but that doesn't matter much as long as there are people who like TFM but want to talk about sokmething related to TFM but not is not TFM itself... like Lagaan... and the connecting factor.. well... everyody knows that... so... no need to crib about it... there shouldn't be any hard and fast rules about this... and as long as people enjoy discussing here, the discussion board is serving its purpose... anyway, we are not discussing porn here, neither are we presenting our views in a manner which can be called to be objectionable by some..... so,why crib???

  The lagaan track, 'Kaale MEgha KAle mEgha pAni to barsA' sounds like a replica of the much-ignored 'bOl Sajni' from 'Doli SAjAke rakhnA'.
  
  The beat, the raga, the orchestration ...everything is so close to the above song!
  
  Sung by Sukhwinder, Udit NArayan, and probably Alka YAgnik. (I can even hear Shankar Mahadevan), it's a nice song no doubt, but I can't help the comparison.

  ya... the song has unmistakable shades of "Bol Sajni"... but a verrrrry nice song all the same... the only thing against it is probably the weight of expectations... still, I guess after a few more listenings, I wouldn't be saying even this... :-)
