Sorry MS.
I missed the 'Man of The Match' part. I thought it was the name of a DFer. :-)
Thanks.
I heard R. K. Selvamani's 'Rajasthaan' with IRs music is being relesed soon. Can anyone confirm this?

MS,
I heard the Mallu song 'Kathirum Kothi'. It's very nice. I just loved the opening music and the interludes! Very unmistakably Ilayaraja! Very melodious.
However it did sound very much like the song, "Azhagana Manjappura Adukketha Maadappura" from one RajKiran film (I forgot the name.. some Ennappetha Raasave???)

Hey Neels,
Good observation (eppadi thONama pOchchu yenakku ?). But I feel this is better formulated and orchestrated.
The other songs in the album too are very good (atleast when looking on them from the platform of current TFM.) The other songs are:
(1) PonnAvani Poomuththey - MGS
(2) Virahamay - Chitra
(3) Virahamay - KJ
and another one, which I dont think is worthy of mention.

MS,
Yes, I agree, this one is much better arranged. Very sophisticated indeed.
Talking of sophistication in sound, did you listen to the INSTRUMENTAL versions of 'Kaatril Endan Geetam' (Johny), 'Kaadhal Oviyam' (Alaigal...) and 'Sangathil Paadatha Kavithai' (Auto Raja) in the Hindi film 'Aur Ek Prem Kahani' by Balu Mahendra. The movie was never released in the cinemas. It got only a tele-premiere in '95. The interludes are completely different sounding. They are available at Rex's site. Let me know what you think? (I'll give my opinion later:))
Are the above 3 songs available on the Net?
'been a long time since I heard KJY&IR combo (the last was Guru!)

Is IR still continuing to work with tier b producers? Apparently yes, and that is why his songs are not being heard, unless it is a producer of a Kadhal Kavithai!

here is the important stuff bout IR which will make the raja's fans happy.
actually kamal asked IR to compose the music for HE RAM,and raja had agreed at first but later stepped down bcos it is pro -GODSE (MAHATMA GANDI"S assassinator) movie. Then only Kamal gave the oppurtunity to L subra.
and its not a wise decision made by IR cos it can boost up his unstable career. i guess so.(and i know after this some IR fans in this forum will argue with my response(bout the decision part and unstable career)
hope IR wont do the same for Maruthanayakam for stupid reason

ravi,
i think this kind of censorship is more bothersome and dangerous than any strong post.
i won't be surprised if this were edited out also.

Minnal,
i dont think there is anything 'stupid' in IR deciding not to compose for He Ram due to ideological difference. Infact if this is news is true, and he has done so inspite of knowing the importance of the project it onlt goes to show his resolve to stick to his beliefs. how can that be stupid? BTW, p.c.sriram did not work for Marud coz he had differences with Kamal in the way they percieved the charecter and the background. honestly, i cant see why you are getting so worked up with this!

Surya, i know it can be frustrating to see two threads started by you being terminated. but the core points of both those are being discussed in other threads also. the latest one on "why there are so many rabid IR fans?" thread is the most worn down argument in this forum albeit with a new face. "pudhu mondhayil pazhaya kallu!"
being relatively new to the forum u might take some time to see this, but unfortunately, all discussions eventually take an IR v ARR stand. Your new threads only serve to ennai oothify to the eriyira neruppus. maybe thats why Ravi got in between.

IR does need kamal to stabilise his career. it is kamal who has benefitted a lot from having IR to score music for most of his 'ambitious' films. if this news is indeed true, i agree with neruppu's
opinion in that, even in times of financial adversity IR is bold enough to reject kamal's offer because of difference in beliefs.
but iam still waiting for someone to confirm this news bit.

If IR turned down Kamal because of ideological differences, than I think we must all salute IR for sticking to his principles.
aruLarasan - Nice to see you here again.
But I beg to differ. TFM-G is indeed doing a good job and we should appreciate that it is not easy to mediate in such a public forum.
I also agree with them that TFM-DF is no place for discussions on Gandhi or of his principles.
Ideally there should be no censorship and there should be total democracy. Unfortunately, it will have to remain an idealism as we have seen the turmoil both bring in many societies we live in.
Hard it may be to accept, but the world is no paradise and in a (suitably) controlled manner we are destined to live.

if what minnal says is true. I respect IR for his stand. IR's unstable career ?? Man, you should be kidding yourself. He has had the best career anybody could have in any profession. Just think how his resume would look.
We should not consider the interventions of Ravi as censorship. He is actually the moderator. He is keeping us focussed on the topic of the discussion.

My two bits on the Editorial Policy of the TFM founders:
First of all, I find it amusing that people dare question the censorship. We are because of Ravi and gang's EFFORTS . There is no sword hanging over their heads that threatens to behead them if they dont maintain this page. This is *A PRIVATE DOMAIN* of Ravi and Gang, though they have given enough leeway for visitors. It might be a public forum, for practical purposes but just as an editor of a magazine has the final say in what ought to be and what ought not to , I feel we must yield Ravi and co. the powers to decide what goes and what doesnt go here. As such, I would even go so far as saying that they are perfectly within their rights to edit *WHATEVER THEY WANT*. That they dont reveals their ...whats-the -word-i-want....desire for a free and spirited discussion.
(For want of a word that adequately describes this phrase:). Besides, if not for such strict censorship and watchfulness, imagine what all can ensue...certainly, we dont want another tamilcinema.com here, do we?. So much for censorship. But if the issue veers around to "what to censor and what not", I am afraid there is going to be no end to the debate on that. Personally, I would rather any strong language(read profanity) is eliminated. I am extremely gratified and indeed, I express my personal thansk to Ravi and co. that they find the time to monitor all threads and delete such unwarranted references.

BTW, kudos to Raja for taking a principled stand vis-a-vis He Ram. But then, what price "Kadavul"? Does his voice sound in unison with Mr.V.Prabhakaran? Where did his principles go then? For a nap?
I am as hardcore a Raja Fan as anyone can hope to see(And all of you know that without me having to say:)))...but I find this reason a trifle too thin.
