  For those who didn't know:
  
  "New Avatar" of Ilayaraja
  
  Isai Gnani Ilayaraja has taken a new avatar. From composing music to love stories and thrillers, he is actively composing for short films and socially awakening films.
  
  Every body knows about the music wisdom of Isai Gnani. In the film Agni Nakshatram, he set music without using 'Tabla'. The same hands composed music for the film Bharthi which secured him an award.
  
  In the Tamil cineworld, Ilayaraja is the only one music director who can produce variety like this.
  
  The film Kutti in which Isai Gnani has composed the music has got very good response from the audience.
  
  For Mahendran's Saasanam too, Ilayaraja is the music director.
  
  The short film Karuvelam Pookkal and Knockout has received a very good response for the music at national film festivals.
  
  Ilayaraja has also given music for Thamarai Sentharpandy's two short films, one about a fisherman and the other about an issueless couple.
  
  The first film on the fisherman, Ellankiliye will run for 45 minutes and Vadivakkarasi and Monica are acting in it. The film depicts the struggle of a fisherman family in a very poignant manner. A story that is set on the seashore is rich with music. For someone who has composed music for Kadalora Kavithaigal, this is no big effort.
  
  Magane, Magane is impressive for its flow although it is only 30 minutes. Kovai Sarala and Sundarajan act as the issueless couple. They try to save the life of a boy who meets with an accident. Penniless, Kovai Sarala pledges her earrings and buys medicine. Ironically, they come to know that the boy is the son of a medical shop owner. Isai Gnani's music leaves the audience spellbound.

  Is there any radio station in India
  where IR melodies / best songs are being played
  regularly... ? (other than local TVs like Vaigai etc.,
  
  The 5 cassete combo released (sometime back) by HMV does contain some duppanguthu songs..
  All the oldies/melodies of IR ?? where can be listened ? Any particular programs - timings..? The TVs like
  sun/raj/vijay/jaya are showing only new ARR/VS/Deva songs always..

  My knowledge wrt to Radios is very limited, so let me talk about your other queries :-)
  
  Local TV is pothikai, not vaigai,
  And all our satellite channels ARE playing IR songs regularly, You don't have a 24 hours kind of channel, I agree, But IR songs are there almost half the time film songs are played, For example two days back in SunTV Kavichchoolai program, they showed 'Songs by Vaali' and almost 90% of them are IR songs, SCV channel also playes IR songs most of the time,
  
  May be the new channel from suntv, KTV has more such programs,
  
  Infact, I am longing for a program which plays let us say 10 to 12 songs of IR everyweek with certain theme, For example, Songs about nila, Songs introducing the heroines, SPB - SJ Duets - Some common theme like this can be taken and songs can be played, I hope this doesn't involve much work for these guys than selection of correct songs, But none of the channels are making any such attempt !

  karthick raajas album call Naalai was released in Malaysia yesterday...I think not only KR is MD but he co with another New MD.....

  As far as I know, Kaasi is still under production (shooting going on) and it may not competere with all 'diwali release' big banners ...

  I always like to research Raja music.Raja early 76's is very classical one.Raja is the person who change TFM fate.Before Raja entry in music industries Hindi music is very popular.Even MSV also can't do anything.Then come lah a born genius in music.That is Illaiyaraja.Now he is the Raja for everyone.There is no replacement for him.Very dissappoinment.Raja introduce western music.He is the person who use computer system in Punnakai Mannan.At that time AR is Raja's understudy.He play keyboard.AR is still do not reach 1/4 in Raja's standards.I do not insult AR.But that is true.AR is a good musician.He is also have to learn many thing from our maestro.Raja is the person who mix WCM and ICM together.Raja is still like to learn many thing in music.Music is just like a sea.In the sea we can see many things.So there is no ending to know or learn music.That is what raja is doing now.Now a days Raja try to change his music to a another trend.I still research about that.Sometime I really suprise to think about Maestro.He is really a genius.I really proud to be Raja's fan.He is my guru also.That's why I always keep a Raja photo in my wallet.Keep goooo lah Raja....!!!We always with you.
