Verrupu and original verrupu come out with
with patent under copy right act.
Deva is ont aiming to be the top now. Because
he learned a good lesson in Arunachalam. The movie
and the story were total flop but the fans go and
burn deva's cut out.
Now he is happy tuning very good songs for low
budget movie. Deva ...it ok to be second ..because
if you aim fo no 1 there is possibility to be
Straight no 1 right from the bottom

Raghuman Fans, Beware of DEVA.
Watch out "Ande Nootrande" song from Mugavari. Its an exact replicate of ARR voice and music. If ARR takes a break, Deva will fill up that position.

i also seen some of devas songs are good! but the great problem is whenever he did a good song its a copy from something!very recent example: i first thought "salam gulamu" from hello sounds differently and nicely! then after a day i remember "pampara kannale!"of chandarababu! this is the problem!!!

Guys Guys cool it... Why is everyone pouncing desperately on Deva. He is doing what he does best. Now there is no point in just criticizing him and it isn't a penny worth to any of us. So I believe it's better to see the good things in his music and guide new tfmdf'ers like me constructively.

Sir! Deva Sir! Pattu Potta Sir! Wow! Ahha! Attaghasham sir!.
Deva Sir gives innumerable dimension to a single song. Typically if you take a song, One way you look at you will find IR in it. The other way you look at it you will find ARR in it. Deeper you look at it you may find "gaanna" pattu (Chennai Folk!) interleaved with it. Now stand closer to woofer (speaker) you will hear Micheal Jackson beat in it. Wait a minute! it doesn't end there. Now sing the tune you will find 'Reggae Maestro' Bob Marley in it. To your surprise you might even find "Kanthar sasti kavasam" in it. So watch out!.
But the great thing is sir, Deva Sir does gives these in-numerable dimension for every song he does sir! Wow!
PRAISE DEVA SIR -- DEVA! GOVINDA! ARROKARA!
Now go near Deva sir and open his pocket sir, you will find *Money* in it. Thatz life sir!
Devaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

can we discuss the best of deva from here. I fell he has given some good nos too. But what surprises me was, how come his songs fared much better to rajini than IR or ARR. Even now I feel the the songs of Batsha are more merged hits with the movie than any of the latest "Rajini Brand" movies.

For me Deva goes on his own way. His tunes were very simple but gave a full credit for a film. Just saw his brilliance in Aasai, Parambarai, Hello, Mugavari and many other films proves his credibility. Another, his folks songs tunes are really amazing and uncontest. No other MD can beat him for folks songs tunes.

As u state, Gaana songs courtesy of college students, but u have to accept the fact that the college students was the most nombour of fans for Deva.
Last but not least : Deva is among the best.

I watched (Vatakudi) Iraniyan yesterday. What a musical opus from Deva. In one interview Deva said that he would like to perform symphony.
Each and every scene he shows how much he is obssessed with symphony by copying Braveheart BGM, Dave BGM and it goes on.
Even the songs I listened in previous movies of IR or ARR.
One should know his stuff and keep his mouth shut. he should accept that he copies from othersinstead of giving lame excuses like all the tunes have been used and others copy too.

Deva is going to complete 300 movies. He is going to be honored with the title "IsaiPerarsu"
in a grand manner.
Is he worth it for that title?
Can we give him a title which suits him?

Hi folks'
Popped into this particular thread on Deva just out of curiosity. Its unbelievable even he has some fans around.
He's in a way a disgrace to music because he not only copies others music but also thinks no end of himself.
------ I have wasted some precious time now----
regards to all

no point..
his music sells, and he doesn't care 2 hoots about any ethics..
in mugavari, he goes so far as to flick a signature Yuvan Shankar Raja tune (Bhava humming) in "Poovellam Kettuppar" outright and mix it in 'antha nootraande', not to mention the other stolen tunes..
now Bharatiraaja despite his disastrous experience with Deva in "Tamizhchelvan" goes back to him for "Kadal Pookkal"! what do you make of this?
deva will be around as long as he can skilfully mix them around, not make it too uncomplicated (like IR did with Hey Raam) for the 'masses', and throws around humble statements that please everyone ("Hey Raamin isaiyai kaettu mei silirthu poanen; ulaga tharathukku nam tamizh pada isaiyai kondu sendruvittar raaja" - Kumudam)..
who cares two hoots for original creativity anyway? look at Pukar, it didn't have one original tune (I'm including ARR's recycling of his own songs in the ambit of plagiarism as he doesn't seem to be paid any lesser for not having to compose newly), plus it has an outrageous flick of the old song "vasanthathil oar naal, manavarai kolam" (don't know the movie)
But in interview after i/view promoted on Star Plus, we had everybody from Anil Kapoor to Madhuri gushing on the 'rich' music and the splendid BGM. Compare Pukar with a Sethu or Hey Raam or even Mugam, and think about how creativity has lost out to commerce.
