  As we know Purvi Kalyani structure is
  
  Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Pa Sa
  Sa Ne Da Pa Ma Ga Ri Sa
  
  Bowli's structure is
  
  Sa Re Ga Pa Da Sa
  Sa Da Pa Ga Re Sa
  
  If I am right, in the Pallavi, the composition traverses only Sa Re Ga Pa Da Sa without touching Ma or Ne then we can consider it as bowli. I think even the charanam did not touch Ma or Ne noticeably. But in the Second Interlude, he touches the Ma and Ne with the Strings. Till then it looked as though it's bowli. Then if we talk of Ma or Ne as Anya Swara for Bowli - that's one version but if you say it's Purvi Kalyani it's more wholesome because Purvi Kalyani is Melakartha ( Sampoorna Ragam ) where upon Bowli is just a Oudava ( 5 Swara ) Janya Raga of Purvi Kalyani.

  Nchari, did MSV make 700 movies in first place. I made around 300-400 thats all. True, Numbers are no big deal but set your statistics right.

  I can see you hate IR, or may be you cant take fact that MSV got sidelined at one point of time. IR is not responsible for that, only MSV should answer why he didnt keep up with himself in 80s.
  
  Its true MSVs fame is shadowed, by that of IR and ARR. If you are hurt so much, make web pages like IR fans. Collect articles about his works, list of songs and ragas and publish on the web. Just flaming IR wont help.

  I never heard of this raga but IR composed it as entertain sangeetha rasikas and so there's nothing to deny but accept that it's Rasika Ranjini.

  'amuthae thamizhae' (koayil puraa) is rasikaranjani. So is 'neelakkuyilae' (magudi). No wonder UV found 'ethilum ingu' similar to the former.

  Has anyone able to view the trailer of "pandavas" at pentamedia site?
  
  I am not able to. Does it require a plug-in that is to be downloaded from Penta-media? If so, from where do I download? I tried installing Macromedia's Shockwave player & Flash player and restarted Netscape & windows. It did not work.
  Still it tries to save the file as "trailerfin.swf".
  
  Any help would be great.

  A great maestro like MSV doesnt depend on web site promotions. He is a down to earth personality and a household name in every home of TFM fans. No one can ever sideline his work at any point of time. He sustains and his music is incomparable. TAKE IT IN BLACK AND WHITE - THERE IS NO MUSIC DIRECTOR TILL DATE WHO COMPOSES WITHOUT THE STINT OF MSV. He is the basement of light film music and a LEGEND beyond comparison. Even IR and ARR treat him like God. That is different.
  
  It is a fact that the etiquette of film work changed in the 80s with IR entry. Before overbooking of films were avoided with courteous references to fellow musicians and music directors by the busy MDs. Hence there was a fair chance for other MDs to earn respect for their work.
  
  IR just made other MDs act like his assistants and made them do the RR for the films which he couldnt manage. This is truly not commendable for his stature those days. Hope he realises atleast now!

A reputed and financially settled MD will not go for that job. For example (for argument sake) IR cannot use MSV for re-recording. ARR cannot use IR for re-recording. I don't think that there is anything wrong in using an MD for re-recording, if that is there choice. Obviously if it is not their choice, IR cannot use them.
  
  
  One thing I could say wrong about IR is, he became self centered and started thinking that he is avatar of thyagabramham and all that crap. That is wrong. If at all he disrespected, he disrespected directors(not MDs). He did it without appreciating film is a team work and he has already paid for it.

  Your last point seems to be apt for IR's downturn early 1993 till 1998. But now IR (IMHO) has realized this and more open to the idea that movie is a teamwork and TFM has other great talents too! Anyhow, IR is still unchallenged in terms of soul-catching melodies.
