Who will replace ARR in future

  For all this slam bang discussion going on here , YSR reportedly is a die-hard fan of ARR and even uses ARR's music to get inspired :-)
  See the facts , at present , ARR is the only MD (IR did so in 80's) who can make a stupid film run solely on his music .Like Rajni films get the best openings in theatres , ARR cassettes are sold like hot cakes here in India . So I say no one can touch Rahman in the near or the far future.

  IMO, nobody in the current TFM industry will/can *replace* ARR.
  
  If you look at the past, a music director/legend was replaced by another not because he had a better knowledge/talent; but he was *different* in some way or other ! MSV lightened the classical scoring and introduced mellisai. IR sounded more graamiyam (when he came in). ARR had/has the techie digital stuff and the rhythmic magic.
  
  So, I guess whoever is going to replace ARR will and should have off-the-earth thinking and ability. It could be anywhere from totally classical back to Kittappa/Dhand.Dhesigar type of music, to African Amadinda type of music.

  Not necessarily. After sometime people become fedup with mellisai/thenisai/digitech. Whoever comes with a new tech (creativity is the key) wins the race. It is not that who is good or who is bad. Changing with the trend is important. Does that mean Carnatic/Hindustani is on their way out?

  In this tfm discussion page, Most or majority dont agree that raja was replaced by Arr, they keep saying that raja is still around thru every other oppurtunity they get.
  Hence assuming or accetping that raja is still around, -- arr is yet to start his musical life,
  I do not know why people are so much worried about a replacement for a person who is yet to start his musical venture...!..

  the "replaced" rAjA himself keeps saying that he has given only UrugAy and not the real virundhu. one wonders then what we are going to get from the chef who is still cooking! adhukkuLLa people have started looking for a third cook!!!
