"SANGAMAM" Songs

Did anybody see the new movie Sangamam? The songs in this moview looks so different. I don't know what dfference is that? Did Anybody feel the same thing?

  IMO none of the songs composed by ARR really suit the theme/styles for Bharathanatyam or therukooththu. At least he could have put some decent effort to compose a song like "Ther kondu vandavan"(by IR in Enakkul Oruvan)/"Indraikku en inda anandamo/Azhagu malar aada etc set for the similar situations to suit the mood for the film. The songs just add to the mediocrity of the direction and actors(who have no clue as to the dance forms they are portraying/directing). It's just best to hear the songs as an "album" keeping in mind that they are NOT composed for a Bharatanatyam/folk dance background in mind.

  It may be a little too late in the day to respond to the topic. The movie was a tribute to MSV as he was once in the like of ARR. I still think he is the greatest at that time. Every era has its deva and now its ARR's turn......behold there is another on his way.......
  
  Sangaman was unique in most ways, however the lead male role should have been given to another guy who could really dance.

  Yes.The songs in that film are really interesting.
  It`s totaly diffrent. I like the 'MARGALI TINGGAL ALLAVA'
  song very much
  AR.RAHMAN composed the song very different
