an attempt to dig out some golden oldies with the help of the many seasoned campaigners in TFM.Iam interested in doing a collection of songs that are strictly confined to this period which I consider as the renaissanceage of music

  I dont rememebr the entire collection of songs.
  'metti oli kaatrOdu..' is a very nice song sung by IR.

  yes kunguama is from aaradhanai and 'vizhigal meeno'is from 'raagangal maaruvadhillai'
  
  Then aruviyil nananindhidum malaro is from 'aagaya gangai'
  
  BTw it will be helpful if you can browse through the 'old responses'as all the songs you have mentioned are already listed

  Does any body know about the other songs from the movie "Panchami(Panjami)" of Balu Mahendra apart from the grea...t SJ solo "Udaya kaalame..." (Raja lakshmi had acted in this movie, I don't know if this movie ever released in the theatres.

  I don't think Panchami was ever released. One of my favorite early morning songs is Uday Kaalame. It has got the typical beats only IR has created and used in his early movies. That Gramathu feeling.
