  You see, Pranav brought up the AB/KK combo and not me. I just added to it. Because we are talking about singer combos here I just wanted to bring up some HFM combos. No harm done man.....relax.....why do you get so worked up if something from the North or HFM is mentioned !!

  Ali- no wonder SPB likes 'Deewana hua baadal'- the wonderful variations that Rafi brought out in each repetition of the line'Ye dekh ke dil jhooma' are alone enough to make this a truly memorable song!

  I remember one more duet of SJ and SPB,'Poo Medaiyo Pon Veenaiyo', I dont know the movie, MD V.s.Narasimhan I think, the song is too Romantic. Once I heard this song from Sriram Vetrivels songs page very long back, lovely duet. Anybody can give the details about this nice song?

  Karnatka Singers are greatful to S.Janaki as she was the one and only reason to get awards for Playback singing in Karnataka. Till 1994 Karnataka GOvt was not giving any awards to Play Back sining. So she boycotted singing in Kannada ( year I think around 1991 - 92). At this time Chitra took advantage of SJ's absence and grabbed chances like anything by the Kannada's No.1 MD Mr. hamsalekha. Or else SJ will be the TOp Singer in Kannada Till date.
  SHe is having such a good voice. Hamsalekha till takes Janaki for most of his films. He is a great fan of the great singer.

  you should buy SPB's sivan songs called 'Siva Arpanam', it is simply awsome, I mean, man SPB's voice is as awsome as ever
