  Guys, Great News!! I got the cassette of Rajasthan. Must say it is really good. It is very different. KR is having a ball here. He has really broken loose. My reviews :
  1. Sorkathil Nikka... Singers: Shankar Mahadevan, Bhava and some new singer called Manjula.
  The song is good. It has the right mix of Tabla and Funky Beats. IR is trying to go "Techno". This MAnjula has a voice similar to Swarnalatha's.
  
  2. Jinjil Laara... Singers: Mano and Swarnalatha.
  Again a mix of Techno and Dappanguthu. A very good song.
  
  3. Machan Machan.. Singers; S.Janaki and Chitra!!
  I think this is the first time the two great ladies are singing together. Rather different. But
  the lyrics is really bad( Machan Machan, dham adikkiriya..... and somewhere else, one line goes like "Manasukkulla Kichi kichi onkayil Sikkikichi"). IR should avoid these kinds of lyricists( Muthulingam).
  
  4. Aagayi Gadi Milan... It is a more "Hindi-ised"
  version of the first song, add Arunmozhi as an extra singer. Lots of Hindi. IR aiming for the north?
  
  5. Pennendral No Problem... Singers: UK and Sujatha.
  Typical Pazhani Bharathi song with lots of English words in the middle. The tune is pretty good. The interludes are pretty good. KR is really apparent.
  
  6. Siraggadikkara... Singer: SN Surendar.
  A dappanguthu with lyrics by IR. A very small song.
  
  7. JAi Jawa Jai Kisan.... Singer: Hariharan.
  
  A song to glorify the Hero. Imagine Vijaykanth being glorified in a song. OK.
  
  Altogether, this album may not be a masterpiece.
  Just OK. I would buy the CD for songs 1,2 and 5.
  All IMVHO.

  Really great news to start the Tamil new year.
  Write more about 'Nilave mugam kaattu' yaar., I have listened it 50 times in this week & still i couldn't remove it frommy walk-man. IR is just great in this album. All the songs have brilliant tunes & Opt Instruments. Enna solRinga !
  BTW Elloorukkum iniya thamizhp puththaaNdu vaazththukkaL naNparkaLee!

  When I was in Secunderabad some five years back, I used to get new Tamil releases in RP Road HMV House and in the adjoining cassette shops on the same road - why don't you try in any of those shops ?
  
  BTW, as a digression, I would like to know as to where exactly are you staying in Hyderabad ? sometime, next month, I might be coming down to Hyd'bad - maybe we can have a meeting and a chat !!

  Nilave Mugam Kattu is just out of this world!!
  We can hear our traditional Raja, the Raja we've been waiting for in this album. Hariharan has really proved himself in his songs. Truly melodious songs.
  
  BTW, till yesterday, I was not thinking of "Guru" as highly as you guys have been telling. I took the cassette and played it in my walkman. And Man! it is really a "Kurinji Malar"!!. The choice of instruments is amazing! The interludes in the song Guru Saranam....
