  I too read the news at tamilcinema.com. It seems even Deva received similar threats before. The news clip also says tha ARR has "copied" from Deva. A great compliment indeed for Deva!!

  I think IR (and MSV + likes of chandrabose etc.. too - but their contributions to rajni films is insignificant in quantity) is probably the only one who did not receive such threats. So rajni fans are completely comfortable with IR (only) ? :-)

  We can easily gauge the authenticity of Tamilcinema by their enormous kissukissus which are all craps. I think the only vital ingerdient of the film would be the ARR's good music and if these songs are not satisfying the Rajni fans, then none of the MD can do the music for him.
  
  May God give the good music sense to Rajni Fans if they are not Ok with Padayappa.

  i think rajini's fans always compare Rajinis songs with kamal's that done by the same MD
  As eden said ,this happen not only for Paayum puli,but for
  punnagai mannan/maaveeran
  devar magan/uzhaippali
  but they were happy with thalapathy when they compare it with GUnaa
  Maybe all these are just a rumour

  No one can do as ARR hit songs.
  
  Padayappa is wonderful music which is very
  much suitable to Rajini and it is made only for

  Kadhalar Dhinam audio is released and the samples do not sound as good as the originals the song are really very good and should be a hit.I have already purchased the cassette and it is really very good in first listening itself.

  where did you get the cassette for 'Kadalar Dhinam' I've listened to the samples and at least three are classics. By the way going back to ARR lets not forget that he brought a new dimension to tamil music to the extent that even Bollywood came after him. We are now getting a bit used to his music unlike those days when he used to do just two or three films a year. He is already about to release another nine films so we will find similarities in the music. I am surprised that grown up people do such rubbish things as stone his house, I can bet a million that these people wouldn't know the difference between 'Sa' and 'Ri'. Lets also remember that ARR didn't call him self the greatest, its we who decided that. Like it or not he is a genious lets just sit back and enjoy his music. 'Valka thamil'. Valka thamil Isai(who ever directs) I am not a ARR fan, but just a 'THAMIL ISAI FAN.

  Its true that people pay for the albums they buy. But it doesnt give them the right to translate it into "life threats", "stoning" and such acts.

  What you say is true. Paying for the albums or not, one doesn't get the right to trouble a MD just because his score in their favourite star's movie was not up to the mark. But, look at Bharani's statement.

  Hi again
  
  I just finished listening to the songs on the net. These are CD quality so the music sounds great. I have got a good news for all ARR fans. The album will be 'A BIG HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!'.
  
  The musics great man. Especially for the youngters because the songs have got a new freshness in the music. It doesn't sound like his other songs of recent times. Kudos to ARR! Man for once, I have loved his songs from the first hearing. Here is my rating of the songs.
  
  1) O Maria- awesome song with a lot of beat and the tunes are just awesome. Lousy part is that half the lyrics are english but then that also adds a cuteness to it. The singers are Yughendran and some new guy named Deva. They both sound young which adds a pleasant touch to the song. In the second musical interlude they say some stuff and I don't think it is either English or tamil because I can't understand one word of it.
  
  2)Roja Roja - Unnikrishnan sang it and he is just great! He's so good. I usually don't like his songs but in this, he excels man. The lyrics are also really good so they add a great compliment to the song. I know that a lot of people have been making comments that YSR's song in Poovellam Kettupar 'CBI enge' sounds like he is trying to imitate 'Thaiya Thaiya'. Well I have got news. This song reminds me of 'Senorita' but I am not saying ARR copied. It's a song in that type of mood and UK's rendering is in the same way.
  
  Dhandiya- This is a song that feels like the music belonged to northern India. It comes close to the song in 'Kalangan' that Chitra and Mano sang for some festival. I don't remember the song. The song is rendered by Sreekumar, Unnimenon and some female, I think it is Mahalakshmi but I am not sure. Again a really nice song. The song mood changes totally in the charanams and the musical interludes. Unnimennon sings the pallavi well. The music is really good too. But I don't like Sreekumar and the female rendering. They sound as though they were uncomfortable when they were recording the song. And Sreekumar sounds like he is singing malayalam.
  
  4)Enna vilai- This song rendered by Unnimenon has a new fresh sound and feel to it. I can't explain it so you people listen to it and one of the musical geniuses in this forum can explain it better than me.
  
  5)Nenajapadi- I chose this song because it does have a really nice touch to it. It is a wedding song. Rahman has tried to make it sound different from typical wedding songs and has succeeded. It sounds good but again, Sreekumar ruins it for me. I mean it was really in this song that it struck me how much Sreekumar sounded out of place. Especially the second Charanam sounded to me like he was singing in Malayalam
  
  6) Kadhalenum ther- This is sung by SPB and Swarnalatha. I liked the charanam and nothing else. Even the music sounds lousy here. I don't know what went wrong with this song. There was no justice done to the song. But this is my first hearing and so maybe I will like it as I listen to it more. As what happens to me in all ARR films!
  
  To end, I would say that this is a way better buy then Padayappa. I don't know what happened to ARR in that film. But he has put made this album twice as better. Really a great treat!
  
  Final words: O Maria and Roja Roja are going to be the only songs going on car radios for a while so pedestrians, prepare yourselves.
