  IR's New telugu Movie.
  
  News is that IR's new telugu movie starring comedian Sunil, "Vamsi & Verma", is under production. We have wait and see if IR's music does to Sunil, who is already very successful, what it did to Rajendra Prasad starrers with Vamsi.

  The producer's first film Mutyam was an average fare, but with melodious songs. We might expect a musical delight in the very least from his second venture.

  Following the release of his 'pAl nilA pAdhai' and 'ThuLik kadal' earlier this year, IR is now releasing 2 new books, 'GnyAna GangA' and 'veNpA nan mAlai' tomorrow.
  Looks like one has to start a new therad discussing his literary work!

  Nothing wrong with NagaS. I have been observing all the threads in TFM for more than 4 yrs and he never writes anybody bad. Also he is the only person will give always balanced review on any albums. Eventhough he is IR fan but he never wrote anything bad about ARR or any one. He never failed to critizise even YSR(his fav. music director) when he fails in some songs. I alwasys buy by CDs based on his review only.

  When I first listened to ulagamE, I was reminded of 'Oh! oru thendral puyalAgi varuthE' (by Malaysia vasudeven) from 'puthumaip peN'. I haven't listened to that song for long time but I am sure that song will fall under the same category.

  Exactly hihi:-). A very good composition. The chorus/harmony, rendition and orchestration bring out the mood of the situation very well - a man having got hurt once, accusing the world/people for forcing him to change into a mirugam, decides to fight it out in the 1st charaNam and in the second says "marubadiyum arai vizhundhaal, adhai adhirthE yudhdham sEi". And then, the pallavi towards the end changes into a little pacifying mood as if to mean taking a "temporary rest while in unrest":-) The emotional content can be felt. The hurt, disgust and anger are brought out very well. Fantastic!
  
  Even SR’s (Sudha’s) all 3 songs are good. Ena Ennai Seidhai is very captivating (esp. after Parthiban's interruption:)) and makes me crave to attend Carnatic concerts.
  
  Appidi Pakuradhunna is also worth mentioning with some interesting interludes and charaNams.
  
  But UlagamE is wow! for it’s orchestration and the emotional content.
  
  IMO, Ivann has lots to offer in terms of creativity and variety. Nice work by IR.

  Althought IR's voice is not too good in this song, can Ezhai Geetham from Devan be considered for the lyrics, chorus/harmony and orchestration? I felt the charaNams and interludes to be quite good in that. Probably, the best song about poverty/hunger in recent times.

  Yeah me too ....downloaded the song "APPAADI PAKURATHUNNA..." from the net....first starting music piece iteself is very melodious...but latter took lot of changes ...finally its a good song ....but I think its a story n situation based song..sounds different

  Appreciate your analysis. With the first listning, I did not care much about the song 'Ulagame' but after reading your posting felt like listening more times :-)
  
  I also felt that IR was straining in the song 'Ezhisai Geetham' in Devan. Should have gone to SM or someone. This could be the second song where I felt someone else should have sung that song (after 'Intha Maan' song from Karakaattakaaran).
  
  Suddenly you feel like listening to all IR albums. I have the feel of 80's or early 90's.
  
  Any will will vouch for NagaS's decency in his postings. I never saw him exceeding his limit or attacking anyone. I know one friend named 'Common Friend' (only in the name) but went after IR like anything.
  
  Naan Seitha Poorva Jenma Balan - to have born and listen/appreciate the music of Maestro.
