ONE SONG THAT IS SWEETER THAN ALL

SUGAMO AAYIRAM is my pick. (PSuseela, a 70s IR film!) Why? completely perfect tune, extraordinary melody, a pallavi that delivers knockout punch despite being just one line. Best thing is the charanam - flowing and hits most notes in one heavenly sweep! The best and the sweetest charanam ever i've ever heard! any one with that one song to talk about here?

  Upaasana (PJ) one of the worst songs in recording history - but of nostalgic value only.
  
  SChoudhry has another great composition - Na Jaane Kyon in Chotti Si Baat my No.2 song (not only sweet (not as sweet as Sugamo Aayiram) but certainly one of the greatest songs ever.)

  'Puttham puthu kaalai' is undoubtedly one of the nicest songs of recent times (if you think the late 80s are recent). Especially, if you listen in the morning, it can probably make your whole day better. The tune is not just catchy & melodies but, downright haunting. It's easily one of my favorites EVER...

  Somebody remarked about "Puttham Puthu Kalai.." Oh I am glad to note that people still remember this song.
  
  This is a combination of beatiful lyrics and muscial orchestration, with the heavy use of Baroque style WCM. Notice the underlying deep bass (try woth a subwoofer) throughout the song that sounds like a heart beat..

  "Nee ennenna sonnalum kavidhai" - a fabulous song from TMS and Susheela with MSV as the M.D. The starting music, the raga ( don't know the name), the way TMS sang it, the way MSV directed it...spell bound me when ever I hear it. This is my pick.
