  I dont necessarily disagree with Suresh on dEvan. NagaS, as a fan of IR's music I am not necessarily proud or ashamed when his albums succeed or not. I am honest. It does not matter to me at all, for eg, with Friends I have not made an effort to buy it till now.
  I think, I like, kAthal jAthi, better than kAsi.
  (Listen to the charanams in manasE ..Wow !!) But I can appreciate why it is commercially successful - lyrics, tune matching emotion/picturisation etc.

  Hey Guys, IVAN trailer was out in RAJ TV today, song clippings included the Carnatic Song by Sudha Raghunath and a fast song. Both were excellent and I immediately started liking them, as soon as I could feast my ears on them. I guess Ivan audio is gonna be a big hit just like 'Bharathi'

  I think you are confused between veelaa and velan - veelaa is a Ramarajan movie MDed by IR and Velan is a vijay movie, Supposed to be MDed by YSR - But I heard Manisharma is the MD for the movie now,

  Pragmatist, this is where people are supposed to post their views - both good or bad. Some fans are really excited at what they hear. So have some compassion for other's feelings and thoughts. If this bothers you so much, then why don't you get the hell of out here. Look at yourself, you have several lousy qualities that needs a good oil change.   I happened to watch a programme called "Malayaala karaiyoram" in Jaya TV yesterday night.This programme basically interviews the Malayalam movie directors.Yesterday it was Vinayan-Director of Kasi.He told everything about the tamil industry, the making of kasi etc...and when it came to the music and songs,he said with all genuinity that his film kasi became a great success mainly due to IR's music.He also said IR is the only perfect musician not only in India but in the whole world.It was great to hear such a statement from him.When a film becomes a super duper hit,any member of the film team claims the victory for himself.But Vinayan was very genuine and straight forward in accepting the fact that music was really a backbone for such a film.He also said he altered certain scenes in the film as per IR's advice,where Maestro touched our hearts with his beautiful BGMs .Vinayan was so surprised on IR's talent b'coz what he wanted to express thru' a scene was made easy by Maestro's re-recording pieces.I feel all such praises and genuine appreciations is more needed for an artist than awards and rewards.If such is the case then Maestro is the wealthiest person in this world for having the maximum number of well-wishers and fans around the world.We love u Raaja Sir.Thanx a lot!

  imo the best song in the poonthottam was meetatha oru veenai. quite a few experts in this forum too said that it is a brilliant song. I read somewhere that hariharan had to sing this song numerous times before IR was satisfied - I think it was worth the effort!

  IR is the one and only genius.He is the best ever was and best ever will be.He got a lot of offer to score music.But he don't want to use it because he want to settle down at America.Raja is very briliant.We wish all the best to him to achieve a lot in the future.He is prove to everybody he is the musical genius.He always want to do better than that.There is a lot of dislike about Raja Devan album.For me...This album is got great tunes.Raja just change the sytle only.Devan songs are relly good.Will be a hit.Hopefully the movie also do the same.I like all songs in this movie.Every song is not same.Ilaiyaraja voice is always fresh and sharp.The songs is suit very well when we see the movie and the situation.

  I came across the Ivan trailer.Two versions really.One with just the BGM and another with clippings of all songs. From the promos atleast the songs seem to be very good.Audio is expected sometime this weekend. Dates not confirmed. Hoping to have a winner from IR again.

  THIS SUNDAY ON DD AGNI NATCHATRAM WAS TELECASTED. WELL IT WAS WORTH WATCHING FOR THE SONGS AND BGM. IT LOOKED STILL FRESS AND BEST AS NEW MOVIE. RAJA THE RAAJA.

  Last week ... I watched the movie 'Unakkaagavee vaazhkiRaen' in KTV, I have already got some wonderful songs from this album (Kanna unaith thedukiRaen, Ilanjolai pooththathaa etc.,), But this time what surprised me was the BGM, The movie was about a music director and IR's BGM was like another character in the movie ... especially you can't even dream of watching the dramatic climax scenes without IR's music ... Wondering what motivated him to care so much for each and every bit of the 'Not So Great' movie ... !!!
