KS,
I understand ur point! But in the past 10 years of listening to ARR (after 10 yrs of IR) I think i can spot the basic difference in them. I still maintain that IR wud take up to violin as an instrument to execute his favorite interlude.
ARR wud similarly use flute as his fav. instrument mostly!
//"I'm sure they would be far too less in number"//
compared to what the total songs ARR did or total songs IR did.
I think the former wud make a sensible (although incorrect) argument the latter no relevance at all!

Obviously, to what ARR did:-) And after hearing to both IR and ARR all along, do you still feel that ARR takes to flute as much as IR takes to violins and flute!!?? If you feel so, then i wld be surprised!!! Just try to recollect the various interludes of both and give it a thought again, maybe...:-))

Brother ..take it easy. You maybe the king but you have to have some respect for rustic person who spun countless melodies. The cool dude ARR's fav instrument is the keyboard :) Just by changing some settings he can play flute ..sorry pan flute or shahuhachi or whatever..listen to KS he is not some dumb guy..bass and drums are the corner stone of pop..and the king of rhythms..isaipuyal is a self proclaimed POP musician.

Can you list all IR songs after 1992 with Raj kiran as hero released only in the 3rd Friday of March during a leap year when there was a solar eclipse and that song had a flute interlude?

why do u start a thread on such a topic if u have to have pre conceived notion abt MD's. u cud have just started a thread called IR is god and kept on writing paens of praise. why dont u go to that yahoo/ilayaraja site of vijay's should be only IR pugazh there!
ARR uses flute! for mostof his interludes that doesnt mean he never uses keyboard, guitar, whatever! ur logical interpretations r queer to say the least!
If u expect ARR to use the flute just the same way as IR then that is what is called aaatu manthai! i still dont understand why u have to force IR's gretness everywhere! other people live and exists and long after IR is gone ppl will still live listening to other music.
I just listed ARR's fav instrument is flute and u guys turned it into a IR-ARR slugfest. like as if u just pray desparately for IR to be great in all instruments and a person who doesnt confirm to a stupid idea that ARR = keyboard is nopt digestable to u!
get real there r other people who use musical instruments as well as IR does! he is NOT great in all things!
and who ever "haha:-)" is 1992 was mentioned bcoz it was after which ARR arrived in the scene.
so i was comparing them as contemporaries!
now posting in lot of threads is a problem to u! if i was a IR dasan I wud be regarded as a great guy!

Posting in multiple threads is not the problem. The issue is that you seem to confuse quantity with quality. If your posts were brief and reached the nub of the matter under discussion quickly, it will make for better readership.
Since your posts are so often humorous ( read laughable ) one is tempted to quote - "Brevity is the soul of wit".

I often respond to multiple postings in a single post of mine and I c & p other ppls quotes and explain in thatcontext!

ihope u can also view this thread in the context of the above logic!

Bharat :
These are from your last two posts. On the one hand you say that you post in a lot of threads and that is a problem to me. You then turn around 180 degrees and say that you combine stuff into a single post. You are so busy writing that you skip the reading part.
"brevity, source of all misinterpretations"
That is cute. The less you say the lesser the chances of being misunderstood. Of course, you seem to follow the lawyer's credo of a brief - something that runs to pages.
By the way, I am a great IR fan and I am proud of it. But that will not jaundice my eye if someone were to coherently put together an argument rather than rambling on for pages.
You have shown the tendency to have the last word, whether it is sensible or otherwise. So go ahead and fill up the next few pages and good luck to you. :-) I have had my say.

i dont see why those 2 postings contradict. dont confuse my arguments with my explantions. my arguments r breif and explanations long!

Bharath, Bharath, make up your mind. Do you mean that he is or he is not? But to get back to the res, if your arguments are brief and your explanations wrong, what are you explaining? The logic behind your arguments? If so, then how are your arguments brief, because without the explanations, one would presume that the arguments are incomplete.
What have I done that makes me exhibit the same prejudices that you have? ( I sincerely hope not; I might have some of my own which are distinctly different from yours ). That I have said that I like IR does not make me prejudiced. On the other hand, if I were to blindly say that I like IR and all other MDs (read ARR :-)) are hopeless, it could be construed as prejudice. What is the point that you are trying to make? Perhaps you sincerely believe that ARR is way better than IR. That is you opinion and you are entitled to it and also entitled to support it with your arguments (explanations?). What I have been complaining about is that you do not get to the nub of the matter. Quite to the contrary, you go on and on and on. If that is my prejudice, you are quite right in saying that I am prejudiced. But then.... :-)
See where you are taking the DF? Everyone will soon start posting a minimum of three pages everytime. :-)

the arguments contest the logic. the explanations! bridge the knowledge gap! ( I am not being condescending here! I amjust saying u and I can have info that the other need'nt neccesarily know)
I cud've said u need to make up ur mind for ur recent errate post but then that wud make u exactly similar to me :-)

I hope u understand how 1 feels when 1 is not specific.
DOnt think u r absolutely correct on the issue u may commit the same mistake u think I am committing!
