  When Raaja was at his peak, movies were made
  just to accomodate his music! There are dozens of movies that never were released, thanks to lack of good story, stars, directors, etc., etc.,. but just carried his music! For example, "IlayarajAvin vaira mOdhiram", "pAttu vAdhyAr", etc.,
  
  He WAS the king. He controlled the industry.
  I dont think he would do that again. However, his flying around places, traveling, etc., suggests that he is BACK in action. Never mind! We are getting good music, and we will get.

  I heard the songs from ThalaiMurai , Manam Virumbhudae Unnai and Desiya Geetham. They are all good . Raja is back into his original form.

  I haven't lisetened to these albums yet
  but seems like Raaja has tried something
  new in them. This is not enough, they
  should get what they deserve (commercial
  success like 'kAthalukku mariyAthai', public
  attention etc). Will that happen? I am
  longing for those days. Anybody in India
  knows the success of these albums? Are

  The new songs are yet to enter the top 10 charts.
  One song from uyirOdu uyirAga has entered top 10.
  The female voice in that song is different and refreshing.

  All you guys are saying Raaja is back into form etc, just b'cause he is getting more assignments and big banners. The term "form" might be applicable for an actor or cricket player but not to a composer or a creator of Raaja's talent and creativity.
  
  so, IMHO, my dear fans, by saying "let us celebrate" etc etc, please do not ridicule Raaja.

  Recently I was listening to 'Illavenir kala panjami' from MVU, on your first hearing it sounds similar to 'Mustafa Mustafa' as the beat goes, Can some one clarify are they same or it is not ,You may wonder what is there is to create a thread for this, remember some time back kumudam came to a big criticism from TFM fans world wide on its remarks on IR'S BGM on KM, at that time all the musical experts analysed and came out prooving it is not, such is the respect we give for the genius, I pray this time too it is not...

  I didn't see any resemblence.
  Both of them are regge based.
  
  Most of the reggae songs sound similar.
  If that is the case I can tell n number of songs that sound like mustafa, O bhavare and On saiye from daud.

  Raja has done a wonderful job.
  Both re-recording and music.
  It is very good movie.
  
  Probably these guys are rebounding for neglecting their requests for interviews.

  He didn't go to france or australia when he was at his peak.
  
  People are making a big fuss about IR going to maldives.
  
  It could have been that he was making his own trip or the directors and producers would have forced him.
  
  If IR or ARR are going overseas for composing why are these guys getting ..ssed.
  
  I am sure that all the Software Programmers would great if they are have overseas onsite work.

  Mustafa, Mustafa will now become Govinda, Govinda, Govinda with the IlavenirKala Panjami song. Sir, this is a song that should not compared like that Mustafa.
  
  There is no beat in the world that Raja has not first started. Be it reggae or anything, Raja has done it when we were still crying Amma, Appa, Ayya, Vaya, Poya.

  Even if I have to agree what you said that all reggae based songs sound similar, all the examples you have quoted are again from ARR film (Daud) only, can you site an example where IR has used the same beat before ilavenirkala panjami. I would also welcome others to participate in the discussion as I want to know very badly that IR has got the influence from Mustafa song are not

  In 'ullAsam', Karthik Raja has used the same
  in the background of 'muththE muththammA' song.
  I hope you can buy this loop and use it in

  Dear "IR_FAN" :
  Since you have asked whether IR used a reggae beat before, YES he has - in recent times in a Kannada songs "Chikka Magaloora" from the film "shiva sainyam". This is not very similar to the Mustafa beat though. The film is about one year old.
  I am sure that there are a lot of other examples in TFM too.

  Hi,
  I happen to see a movie called Dharma.(An Animated Cartoon film staring Vijaykanth the human) The only reason I saw this movie was, many here told me or claimed - a person whom I(we) respect has worked in the movie.
  But I was searching for the person till the end movie, alas I was not able to find him anyhwere. Where did he go... ., can anyone here tell me where can I find him in this movie. There use to be days where he would dominate the whole movie.

  Do not know abt the BGM in Dharma.. but i think

  Dharma, poonthottam and senthuram are rare garbages from IR in his comeback trail. So, don't take things seriously. Look who the directors were for the 3 movies, maybe there is some answers there. Now, comes Ponnuveettukkaran and Manam Virumbuthey Unnai. Superb compositions. Should pass off for the top pop rhythms of the century.
