vani jayaram: her film songs and their ragas

Among female play-back singers, vani jayaram is my favourite. Her voice is so sweet and so distinct.
Almost all of her songs are superhits.
I would really appreciate if someone could tell me the RAGAM on which the following songs of vani jayaram are based:

1. "Malligai en mannan mayangum" (from Dheerga sumangali, her second favourite song of hers; the first one, she said, is some oriya song?)

2. 'En vullam azhagaana vellithirai"
3. "megame megame,paal nilaa thedhudhe" (paalai vana cholai)
4. "Ezhu swarangalukkul etthanai paadal" ( what a song!!! i know it is mostly based on Panthuvarali; but i hear there are traces of other ragas also in this song; this song, which won her national award, is her favourite song of hers)
5. kelviyin naayagane, en kelviggu padil edhaiyaa?

  Dear readers,
  I will Vani Jairam weren't so jealos of Lata and Asha whom she so unscrupulously blames for nipping her career, especially when the PROCLAIMED FACT is that both Lata and Asha are thousand times better than she. Vani's hindi songs sound contrived, listless and stereotyped, besides being severely accented. In fact, her private ghazal records are just atrocious. So are many of her Hindi bhajans. If you dont believe me, watch the program 'Ninaad' telecast on Start TV in the mornings, where Vaniji has rendered bhajans. Listless is the word!!!
  But of course, her Telugu and Tamil songs are a treat and nobody can deny that!! But I feel everybody should realize his/her limitations. India has many good singers and Vani is definitely one of them. But Susheela, Lata and Asha are divine!!!

  I think it is naive to assume that Lata and Asha are somehow beyond politics. When Vani Jairam made her debut she literally pulled the rug from the two reigning doyennes feet! Make no mistake: She was introduced by none other than Vasant Desai, the early mentor of the Latas and the Ashas.
  
  I think Vani Jairam has been very dignified in her entire career. You do not win 3 National Awards for Best Singer if you are not a singer par excellence.
  
  And incidentally, for those of you who want more proof of the Lata/Asha monopoly - and its take-no-prisoners blast - I suggest you have a word with Suman Kalyanpur, Sharada, Hemlata, and Chandrani Mukherjee. Maybe, even Ms.Bhonsle might have some old memories about her sister, before she learnt a few of those nasty tricks herself.
  
  And if some of you still believe that the whole mangeshkar monopoly thing is a myth - then go out and rent "Saaz" - which got Sai Paranjape into a lot of trouble with the senior Mangeshkar.
  
  There is also nothing strange about P Suseela and S Janaki not complaining about Lata and Asha. It was Vani Jairam who made her film singing debut in Bombay at the peak of the Mangeshkar monopoly. P. Suseela and S. Janaki were also never considered to be Hindi singers. And they never were.
  
  Check your facts: it can only help others who are genuinely interested. Don't create your own myths.

  Vani Jayaram is pretty mediocre as compared to Lata and Asha. They both had tremedous range,versatility and melody. Vani J. is nasal and shrill in the higher range. She lacks Lata's or Asha's capacity to bring out the bhaavam of a song. Moreover she was terribly accented. Just churning out one good 'Bole re papihara' does not make somebody a Lata Mangeshkar overnight.
  Listen to lata's or asha's renditions in Mia Malhar(same raag as that). They are fabulous, much better than Vani's. Also, if Vani is as good as Lata, why didint she make it so big down south. She is definitely not as good as PS or SJ, so she did not acquire that status. Vani J's bhajans are telecast on star TV in the program 'Ninaad'. They are pathetic. Her ghazals are a terrible disgrace, due to bad diction and nasal tones.
  I have read and seen several interview of Suman Kalyanpur, Geeta Dutt, Shamshad Begum where they are all praise for the Mangeshkar sisters. Suman herself admits that Lata had recommended her name to several Music directors. She also goes onto to say that she is just a fraction of what Lata is.
  Suman was no the one for complex stuff at all.
  Geeta dutt always admitted that Lata was a sincere and honest person besides being a flwaless singer. Have you heard of Padmaja Joglekar who sang Vajpayee's poems? Lata has been the mentor to her success. Padmaja herself says so.
  So the term 'vani pulled the rug of the feet of lata and Asha' is just hoax. Comparing Vani to Lata or Asha or Susheela is like comparing a tiny lamp to the sun or moon.
  The ultimate proof of Vani's ungratefulness is that LATA had referred her name to Ravi Shankar for the film 'Meera' because Lata was busy with her concerts in London. Ask Ravi Shankar or Gulzar about it, my friend.
  One more point, S Janaki has sung over a hundred good songs in Hindi, more than Vani. She considers Lata and Asha her sisters. Because she is sporting and does not crib. Because she's really talented, as good as PS,Lata or Asha.
  And if you want proof of Vani's lack of versatlity, go hear her songs from Meera. Lata would have saved them had she sung them. And listen to Vani's duet in 'Ek Mutthi Aasman' with Kishore Kumar, and wince in boredom!!!

  Answer one thing, why didnt Vani reach numero uno position in south, her own backyard!!Check your facts: it can only help others who are genuinely interested. Don't create your own myths!!!

  Lata Mangeshkar is a criminal. A Sing-Sena Supremo. Together with Bal Thackerey, they make a perfect and ideal Hindu Couple. She is most ill-behaved person with extremely bad manners. She is uneducated and uncultured. Just because of RSS support, she got the Bharat Ratna. Infact she has lessened / disgraced the award itself. Its a political award. Lata is in her 70s but she says she can sing like 17. She destroyed many careers. Those singers did not air their views because she had political support. Never has there been an IT Raid on Lata .. why ? Cuz she had the support of RSS all along - moreover, i would like to place on record that Lata Mangeshkar is one of the founder members of Shiv Sena, and hates Islam and muslims. Ironicaly it was muslims who made her.
  
  Lata may have sung thousands of song, she could be a great voice/artiste.. but she is a very bad human being. She has no humane-ness, she has no humanity. She has an extremely bad temperament.
  
  Sometimes she puts Sindoor in her hairparting (implying she is married)., sometimes she says she is a spinster. God knows.. she is married / spinster. Can any one clarify it.
  
  The music industry / musicians all hated her, but because she had political support all along, she ensured no singer grow in Hindi films. Towards that end, she did not spare her own sister, Asha Bhonsle.
  
  Ask Asha what she did to Lata.. Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo was to be rendered by both Lata and Asha.. and C. Ramchandra had composed the song. Lata hobnobbed with politicians to have Asha's name deleted and rendered the song solo. She sings songs of Naushad, C. Ramchandra, and others.. but never acknowledges it as their creative work. If she were such a great musicians, why didnt she become a Music Director herself ? She never praised any Lyricist., cuz most of them were Muslim.
  
  Lata breeds on the hatred of Islam and humanity. She is very glad when she sees Muslim kids slaughtered, when muslim women are raped and their homes burnt. This sight gladdens her eye.
  
  Lata is a disgrace to humanity and womanhood. She may get all the awards (Courtesy Shiv Sena/RSS), but facts remain facts : Lata is a disgraceful woman. To call a her human being is to disgrace the human race.
  
  She's not the "voice of the millenium" the "bitch of the millenium".
  
  If she is Swar Samratan... then what are Kesarbai Kerkar, Hirabai Barodekar, Gangubai Hangal, Roshanara Begum, Parveen Sultana, Kishori Amonkar... Are all these chorus singers.
  
  Lata is just a film-playback singer of sugam-sangeet.. but as she had political support., she remained on top.. maintained the monopoly.. and fooled the world with her white saree.. which is drenched in the blood of innocent ppl.
  
  Lata finances the RSS and Shiv Sena.. and she financed the demolition of Babri Masjid.. and subsequently when there were riots in Bombay, she financed the killings of Muslims in Bombay.
  
  Lata hates Islam. The fact has now come out in the open. Those who value humanity and human values should start ignoring Lata now. She sings Shradhanjali songs for the dead artistes to make money.
  
  She sings Ayega Anewala (while the composer of the song.. Khemchand Prakash.. his wife died on the street before Bombay Central Rly Station). She invites everyone to her concerts, makes millions and goes away. When anyone invites her to his/her function.. she says.. im not well.
  
  She's a bitch to the core. She is very disgraceful. She attends all parties with her family (20-25 persons)., eat like a dog.. and leave the party without giving any gift/ flowers. They are a cheap lot.
  
  Go to her home, and you dont get a glass of water.
  
  Last but not least : Few ppl know that Lata Mangeshkar is from a family of Devadasis. That her mother and father.. they hail from the Devadasi clan. She is a devdasi of the temple of Mangeshi in Goa. Even to-date she is not allowed to enter that temple.. as a result of this fact.. she never performs / gives any program in Goa.. cuz then the fact would leak that SHE IS A DEVDASI.
  
  Lata fooled the world quite a lot.. all these 50 yrs.. but in these days of technology, her real face, her hateful mind and heart.. would all come into public view.
