  is vaali the one who wrote the lyrics for indu? then he has scaled new heights in vulgarity! there is no double meaning at all.everything is explicit. pavithran, the most perverted director ever to take tamil films, who brought down the standard of tamil films by directing suriyan,indu etc. should have had a hand in these songs.

  Hi,
  I am new to this. The songs of the older generation have been poetic in their depiction of love and other things. They have never been explicit. You have got to really analyse the songs to understand the hidden meaning.
  But the songs of this present generation have been very explicit in the depiction of love and the relation between Man and Woman.
  The way females have been treated in the songs is a topic for another forum and not this.
  There is only one question we have to ask ourselves. What are we trying to achieve by this discussion? Because we know very well that the std of tamil film songs have come down very much.
  How are we going to improve the standard of tamil film songs ? May be this question is a better topic for discussion than the present one.

  since they have the option IR or ARR,

  I don't want to repeat myself. But as i have told already, if we want to find any solution to this problem then we can continue with the discussion. Or else we can drop the topic.
  1) There are some movies which under the garb of educating people, show porn . we are doing something along those lines. We are not saying anything new by repeating here that tamil film songs are vulgar.
  2) Either we change the course of discussion and discuss how to bring about a change in this trend or change the topic to 'the nadir reached by tamil film songs in depicting vulgarity' and discuss all the songs thread bare.
  3) What is the need to talk about caste in the whole thing ?
  4) Admiration for anyone's act is one thing. But blind worship is something that will not let us see the true picture.
  I can see that some of you are doing exactly that in the case of IR. There is no doubt that he is a genius. but that doesn't in anyway absolve him from what he has done. He has to fully owe responsibility for all the bad songs under his composition.
  Not for nothing, are they called the music directors.
