  a digression:
  Dalapthy has an awesome song "Chinna thayaval" - just showing the greatness of mother's love.... If I am right, IR's mom's name is Chinnathayammal..... So is it really IR who is mentioned in the background ?? Whatever be the case that song makes me emotional - Other such songs - azhagiya kanne (Uthiri pookal), Pillai nila (neengal kettavai),....

  IR music has the capacity to move the audience.. If you have seen Mannan when Rajini presents wheel chair to his mom and the scene where he says to himself "Emanthuttiyemma".. the music was simply stunning.. Nobody has shown that kind of involvment like Illayaraja in any movie. He is certainly one of the best composer in the world.

  That was the amma theme in Mannan which comes in 2-3 places when they show Pandaribai. Our audience have missed out on so many such awesome theme BGMs. Glad that you have pointed this out.

He said," IR seems to fully understand the kind of impact that is to be generated, and more than the use of music, the way he uses silent gaps while re-recording is just stunning.   I tried my best not to do it. But i

  Deva and Anumallik about copying. They told
  me 'don't worry indian fans are not smart
  enough to find those things'. So i followed

  IR: What to do? I totally forgot there is a group called civic music fans who seem to know what is music. They exposed me like clinton was exposed.
  
  Interviewer: What is your next plan?
  
  IR: To continue copying..

  IR: I just said civil music fans found out. My
  fans are fools.. They have not found out yet.
  Some stupid Directors and Producers are yet to find out.
  
  Interviewer. Do you think Sirpy is a threat to u?
  
  IR: No..
  
  Interviewer: Why
  
  IR: Anyway i am very fast. no problem
  
  Interviewer: How come you are so fast?
  
  IR: See i am not sincere like ARR to
  ensure quality in all my songs. I just have to recall some older song, get a new singer like Hariharan and then I will have new 10 songs! It just takes 20 mins for me.
  Shoudl I speed up some more?
  
  Interviewer: What is your goal in your life
  
  IR: To limit my music to 1000 movies before i die
  
  Interviewer: Do you think you can do it?
  
  IR: Konjam kashtamdhan, but hope i can control my greediness.
  
  Interviewer: Why is Ivan and En Mana Vanile failures just like
  all your earlier movies?
  
  IR: I don't care. my fans are fooled. err, they like the songs. that is all that matters isnt it?
  
  Interviewer: why do your songs sound similar?
  
  IR: My fans will never find out that. Good thing about my fans is they are all dumb. And they are all so vulnerable. I can say Symphone, and they will create homepages on it for me. I don't have to really do any thing.

  I know they had some serious conflict when doing 'kadavuL' as the movie theme had lot of naaththikam stuff and IR was not really comfortable with those koLkaikaL, so Velu Prabhagaran booked aadhithyan for his next movie ... now IR again, that too for a movie on thanthai periyaar ?
