Hi! We've made a major addition to newtfmpage, and that is a big song bank. Dhool features thousands of songs for your listening pleasure. This site is a part of the newtfmpage.com - swara.com group. Together with newtfmpage, we wish to make this the best place to listen to tamil film songs online and know about tamil film music. Our collection includes old, new, famous, rare and unheard of songs. We are still fine tuning and fixing the database errors, so please bear with us. We value your feedback, and this will help us build the site better. Please post your comments below or mail to comments@newtfmpage.com.

  Sara, I was expecting "oorgOlam pOgindRa kiLikkootam ellaam" ;). This is also lovely song indeed.
  Kaviyathalaivi is one of my favorite album with lovely songs. But the movie is a sOga mayamAna movie (sowcar??). I think S Varalakshmi plays the role of sowcar's mom. "Oru naal iravu pagal pol nilavu" with those dialogues is lovely one!

  Hello Everyone,
  I have a very gald news to share with you all. Finally all our prayers got answered. I was driving this morning listening to the Tamil Radio. They announced that Our maestro Dr.Ilayaraja sir and his troop (more than 100 singers/musicians) are starting a world tour next year. 12 years of silence broke between the media and Raja sir.
  Thank you God!!!!

  Dear Mr Balaji,Saravanan and all other great minds behind this web world. I can't find enough words to convey my thankfulness to this service. The songs you are listing here, analyzing here are like my dreams coming true.
  I enjoyed your fabulous interview with Dr. S.P. Balasubramaniam. A job well done.
  In this site you have almost covered all the songs that I can think of. However I could not see these two songs which I thought are great to the SPB sir's liat.

  2. PaduhThaal puranDaal Urakkam illai
  3. Naan ..ennum oru… engo thinam endre manam sellum (Aziyaatha kolangal) not sure the lyrics remember the beautiful tune.
  I wish some day someone will discuss these ones in the Song of the Day. Or may I request these songs from you to be addded.

  RaviC had already started sporting Sivaji’s discarded wigs by then. Sowcar by her own admission was past 40. But the required youthfulness has been ably brought in by LRE and SPB. SPB must have just then recovered from cold that he was suffering while singing “vetri meethu vetri vanthu”.)Sarasamum, kadhalum izhayoda konji konji paadi, SPB plunders. LRE sounds great and Sowcar must have felt younger by 10-15 years during this song. The racing,short and sweet interludes elevates the romantic feel. Great choice!
  
  Vara vara ella paatayum SPB paadinal eppadi irukkum ena eNNathondRugiRathu.How Öru Naal iravu would sound in SPB’s voice? It would have been a mixture of “Nandha en nila “and ÄvaL oru Manegai”. PS did an out-of-the world job and should have won another national for this song .

  SPB&LRE jodi'best duet is angam pudu vidam.that last end by SP is super. haanh azagiya nilavu. woW. full of youthful voice.
  
  then on "oru nall iravu pagal pol" song. Why MSV used only PS for both mother & daughetr character in that song? but in the same movie he used LRE for this SOTd for daughetr sowcar. why he could not use same LRE for daughetr portion in oru naal iravu song. But if imagine anyone other PS in that portion, no i don want to imagine.

  OISG...A note on "Oru naal iravu.." Its tuned by MSV to Sumanesaranjani, which is Suddha Dhanyasi with M2. He has used the same melody again in the song Engirindho vandhaan, the film having the same name starring Sathayraj...A wonderful rendition by SPB. U can proxy that for Oru naal iravu...;-)

  Kaaviyath Thalaivi had great numbers all around. "En vaanathil" is an amazing Northie treat in TFM. The beginning tabla beat's hangover was felt in IR's "Maanjoalai Kilithaanoa" intro. And I feel "Kaiyoadu Kai Saerkkum" is the happiest song ever in TFM. Of course, the SOTD has so much to offer in the rarest duet combo of SPB-LRE. There can't be more than 15 such songs can there? Every one of this combo is a gem: oorgoalam poagindra and marandhae poachu romba naal aachu come rushing to mind...

  Kaviya thalaivi is best remembered for MRR Vasu's stand out performance as the baddie. With this movie he finally came out of Nadigavel's shadow.Baratha vilas and sorgam were two other films he excelled.
  But seeing Ravi and S J frolic alone makes this movie fit to be X rated.
  for me the song of the movie is undoubtedly the haunting " Oru Naal iravu"

  it would be better if you update dhool.com & newtfmpage.com with lyrics of almost all the film songs.it will take quite some time.but that's ok. there r so many who can post the lyrics.they keep posting lyrics regularly for so many thro' ur site. it might be ok if those lyrics are updated on ur pages.

  Personally I think this song is a very unique one the music, Kamal's dance, all above SPB's splendit voice.
