ARR chooses IlayaKamban because he almost tried out all voices. I think it is time to tryout Lyricists. Public need a change. Hmmm. We call it 'Variety'. Press calls it 'invention'

ms, what is that bass part all about?
even i dont feel it as a lift, can be coincidence.,
btw: listen to bass parts in elvis songs , rum bumbum arambum has similar bass.......
bass parts are very close to beat patterns, when you use a 4/4 rock beat...the bass scores are sometimes predefined...

GUYS, THIS IS BAD VERY BAD INDEED, THIS CROOK ARR WHOME WE BELEIVE TO BE A BUNDLE OF TALENT IS A VERY STEALTHY STEALER. I AM REFERRING TO HELLO mr.edhir katchi SONG FROM THE MOVIE IRUVAR-THE RHYTHM ARRANGEMENT IS A BLATANT LIFT FROM A JAZZ ARTIST-THIS IS NOT CLOSE, OR SOME WHAT KINDA.....I WILL UPLOAD THE SONG VERY SOON IN MY SITE. THE ONLY DIFF BETWEEN DEVA AND THE ABOVE SAID IS THAT DEVA IS VERY NAIVE.

Srikanth, RJAY can you guys listen to track 7 in NSsi Nssi. 'thangath thAmarai magaLe' starts exactly like this. The tune is not copied but the arrangement inspired ARR for this song, I think. I was very impressed with 'iruvar' but unfortunately there is an inspiration here too, according to Arun. I dont know why talented people like ARR have to do this.

arun, theres hardly any resemblence between the memphis stomp and the hello.mr.edir katchi. just coz theres is a guitar piece that runs from high to lo, it does not become copy. dont try to create some sensational news like some cheap newspaper..u need to try harder. good luck..

ye arun. Get some life. Dont fool around and make us waste our time. I listened to the songs and they are different. Maybe arun KK have not heard guitar sound before so it all sounds same to them.

Guys,
Please dont blast Arun this way. The opening piano music pieces are the same. Not similar. They are identical. That is before the vocal track starts. Good catch Arun.

Piano is the key instrument in 'Hello Mr.' song.
Its prelude is really attractive. Thats why it is irritating when we come to know the original. This is definitely not inspiration. Maniratnam would have asked Rehman to compose a tune exactly as in memphis stomp style!!

We need to investigate more on Dave Grusin. Is this his original composition? Is it an improvisation on some other origical composition?

Sridhar,
I'm trying to say that I was arguing on behalf of ARR before listening to it. Now I'm shocked. It is an exact reproduction. He should have changed the notes a little but maintaining the style.

arun,
Thanks for the link. I had my doubts on the "Iruvar" song. Looks like a straight lift. This is not inspiration. I did'nt hear harmonies in ARR's version. David grusin was spellbounding.
I think we can release an album, ARR copy aditha paadalagal. That sure will be a chartbuster.
Similarly I noticed the beginning of "chaiya chaiya" had "Eye of the tiger" by Surivors opening apart from the fact that the melody itself was a inspired by a sufi song.
Infact "eye of the tiger" was used as a BGM for thiruda thiruda during a train chase scene.

whats really disturbing about arr is i remember this, at that time i was at india and just when he got signed for iruvar, there was this short take on him by prannoy roys world this week-in the news maker's section, in which he(arr) went about saying that the project at hand(iruvar) is going to be a real challenge in that he is going to compose without the aid of electronic synths., and also added that allah! and akbar! are source or drive behind his success...now we know who actually is...for another sampler check this out
LOVE OF COMMON PEOPLE(album:no parlez) by PAUL YOUNG(who was a one season wonder) in my english section starts of with a robust percussion on the synth....arr has used the exact version in his MALARGALE song from LOVE BIRDS and to top it all has repeated it once again in INDIAN-AKKADA song..to me a arr fan myself...makes me think he is a scum bag like anu malik

sabesan, I would have to agree it is 100% lift....
arr might have asked loy medosa, it is a team work copy.....I care for this, have already emailed india about this...
what the heck, who ever copies it is mistake.

I have another doubt, whether ARR played this Piano piece on his keyboard. The touch does'nt sound like his.
is it a software trick? has he manipulated the piano rolls here & there?
any comments?
