I think JG is not bound to do well in the box office which is then the case with 75% BM films.
Still,IR has to be praised for his great work
in the songs and BGM.The film is surely not going
to be a hit IMO

Seems that all the recent movies of IR has been failure. Below average is the best one could say.
IR has lost his status in the last few years in Tamil Film industry because of his mediocre output. He has ran out of ideas and can't produce anything good anymore. He has churned out very ordinary songs for all the movies he committed to including Julie Ganapathy, in the last few years.
Industry people know that not much producers have been going for his music for the last few years except for a few of his loyalists. His music has become so mundane and stale that people are not buying it. They are not finding any substance in it. It is better he realize this as soon as possible and call it quits instead of dragging himself and his goshti down the rubble. It's obvious he wants to be famous again but history has proven that once a person has lost it, he will not find it again. Also, one more thing to take note is that he is making himself very available to everyone nowadays in the hope of going back to his stature of his early days in the industry.
What he is trying to do is not surprising as he pulled a previous stunt with Rajnikanth before. It was reported that Ilayaraaja had to be soothed by Rajni as Rajni wanted ARR to do Baba. This in spite of the fact that ARR was in London and reluctant to do any Tamil movies. With persistent pursuading by the Super Star himself, ARR reluctantly agreed to do the movie and the end result was that only the songs of Baba were the saving grace. It would have been unimaginable if Rajni had given in to IR's request to do the music.
May be in TFM Page the HCIRFs may be fooled but I guess people of Tamil Nadu are not that stupid by IR's gimmicks anymore.

yeah, just like how your goshti is so worried about ARR's worthy cause, the Unity Concert, simply because your man has neither the brains, nor the concerns to do it first.
pure vayatherichal parties!

Thats really pity to see people fighting at each other on the names of IR or ARR fan. these people jus spk out of their fav but not the music and its diff dimensions.
for ur kind info guys, pushpavanam Kuppuswamy's songs are certainly diff from Elton John's. but both have extreme ends and again people in london will never listen or like pushpavanam's songs. at the same time vadugapatti people will yell at elton's songs.
but music lovers and literates are the people who can enjoy both the music. thats aceived only when u have a good sense of music taste and bit of common perception. ofcourse, there is no wrong in appreciating the favourites. but s'dnt depreciate others. i guesss this is basic human nature and its sad that its absent in so-called music lovers in this tfmpage.
by the way, iam a big fan of IR ( still- no former or current) and a big fan of ARR.........
i enjoy a lot thaan u guys....
coming to the point here, Julie Ganapathi songs are nice ...esp by Vijay . raaja again proved to be master is Western with his mesmerising vocals and chords!!!!!!!

Mythila,
Here is a proof of what i told earlier...note how regulars like vem, sabesan, fliflo etc keep moving on with their regular posts irrespective of "Posts of disharmony"...you could learn from our experience to ignore irrelevant posts and get a move on..that will do a world of good to this thread.
Just my thought..or rather, "consensus of thought" amongst regular visitors of "IR's new albums" thread...

Folks,
Sari Sari .. song in the new telugu film ( ninnu choodakka ) is really good. Shreya rocks .. I guess this song is available on the net..
Also though Kondapalli from the same movie has the same pallavi is " Kodamanjil " from Kochu Kochu Santhosangal ( Mal), the interludes are great.. better than the Mal version.
I have the tape and waiting for the CD.
Enjoy

i saw JG yest. The Re-recording is excellent. And, as posted earlier, the re-recording while JAYARAM goes around the house is EXCELLENT.
also, the song sequences doesnt go with the film at all. am nt sure y this feeling is getting created. for instance, the ENNAKKU PIDITHA PADAL starting when JAYARAM plays his CAR STEREO. the situation doesnt go with the song.
n ramyakrishnan's dance is the most unwanted piece in the movie n affects the flow of the movie a lot.
in total, as usual IR rocks in the re-recording and doesnt score that much in the songs.

Dear Kum_laden,
Ok, let me partial to IR. but as u said, my opinion on JG and IR's performace in JG is not wrong. jus try to understand how it was stated. he is a master indeed but did i ever compared to ARR and stated that he is a master. dont u say or appreciate a good film and saying it a master piece but it never meant to be THE best in the world. example ku, Blachander's pudhu pudhu arthangal is my fav and after feeling the movie so much, i say that the movie is a master piece and KB is master in doing that. but it doesnt mean that other directors are scrap and this sort of mentality mainly prevails in tfmpae and most of the people.
if i were posting a message in ARR related album, i w'dve def said ARR is king. thats the simple diff. infact, i listen both JG and kadhal virus with the same perception. so neengala yethavathu nenchu solatheengs. obviously i was a sole IR fan till 1990 till roja came. coz i grew hearing IR's music and obviously HIS music w'd be more in me but when ARR entered, he captured many people's heart with his scintilating music. and after hearing ARR, can i ever change my opnion on IR or his music. i w'dve changed abt IR, if at all IR tried to imitate ARR wic he never did. and tats all the diff of listening......
by the way, ARE YAAR....i was jus saying out of my interest. music is someting to be felt and never can be explained in terms of words. so individual s'd realise rater none can do anyting abt one's opnion. thats all abt it. but we can always sare our views.....
thanks

Hi All,
'Theendi Theendi" from the film "BALA" has been lifted from the hindi film "MAHADEV" released in 1989. Music for former by YSR and later by IR. YSR has copied from his illustrious father.
'Minmini Parvaigal' from the film Julie Ganapathy resembles more like "POOTUKUL" song from the film "CHATRIYAN".
'THANI KONJUM' from the JG is almost like the slow version of "ASAI ADHIGAM" from "MARUPADIYUM".
Will post more such similarities in the near future.
Rags
