  Kaasi, ennai poruthavaraikkum, was a cheap exploitation of our tear glandsnnu thonithu:)

  maybe they are mentioning Kasi and Azhagi because they were unexpected hits. From all the reviews I have read KM is a very good movie (havn't yet had a chance to watch it) - so at least in the press there doesn't seem to be a bias against MR.

  interesting is the writer comparing Shalini in her 1st film (as a heroine) with the Shalini now.... i thought people always improve their acting as they progress.... many examples - and the best i have are Radhika (go and see Kizhakae Pogum Rail, and then see may be Nallavanukku Nalllvaaan or the famous Chithiiiiiiiiiii) and Simran (go and see the doll in the movie Naerukku Naer).....
  
  so i really don't think MR should be given *all* the credit as the writer portrays.....
  
  and as far as i knew, Madhavan was a joke in the roll he had played - thats' what everyone of my friends commented after seeing the movie.... not sure what the *public* opinion was though....

  "kadhallukku mariyaadai" is not essentially Sha's first film. She had done some mallu films as heroine before that. Infact KaM's mallu version had sha in that.

  i never knew Shalini was acting before Ka.Ma.... hmmm... remember reading in AV or Kum, that, that was her first film as a HEROINE.....
  
  ROTFL, yes Sir, she was a BABY shalini.... but i think there is some difference between acting as a BABY and to be a *Oh Baby Baby* of someone isn't it :-).....
  
  in fact, i feel Shalini was very good in Kad.Ma..... especially towards the end of the movie...
