Well said Gopal.
As Swami said, when you listen to songs it should make you do something. You can relax, dance, go and kick somebody, cry, become very emotion, and do so many things. IR has composed music for each situation and when you listen to it, you will feel it, whereas other's music can only do onething (at least nowadays. You can have ballroom dance for a sad song when others compose music. You can have cartoon films for classical type of song. When it comes to match the situation, IR never go wrong.
You have to understand the problem to solve. But nowadays, they have answers already and you have to come up the problem for which the answer is correct. The answers can be anything. It can be bought easily from outside world. One set of solutions from Ace of Base and other set of solution from Yanni and so on. This is the trend now.
BTW, if TN people can not hear about Dharma or Poonthottam they are just dump. Because we hear it from here.

About "Kinattu Thavalikal", from the different perspective, why does it want to come out of Kinaru and drink sour water when it can drink fresh water anytimes it needs in Kinaru.

Mr.Tamizhan,
I had already posted this analogy before. Let me do it once again. If some XYZ goes to Gosling and say, "Java" is a crap of shit. Well if that XYZ had been K&R, well we can tolerate it. Else imagine.
Buddy, IR is a creator. We spend days and months just to analyze a single song. So just imagine the amount of effort and creativity his mind would have applied. So before commenting on others lets know and realize where we stand and who we are first(i.e are we really worthy enough to talk about him). For this matter, never criticise any composer(I personally don't). If u like something praise it loud. If u don't keep it to yourself.
>Swami.
PS:Tamizhan, there is nothing wrong in exposing your true name.

...."If u like something praise it loud. If u don't keep it to yourself"......
i don't understand this. nowhere it is mentioned in this TFMDF that u should only praise and not condemn. when SPM overpraises and we accept then we should have guts and be broadminded to accept the criticsms of srikanth, tamizhan etc. because that is their style.
so before we start talking about rules let us describe clearly what the rules are. ravi had told many times before that 'capital letters are considered equivalent to shouting'. but how many times i have seen SPM using capital letters for praising raja. it looks like some propaganda.
mind u, iam not criticizing his intention but the way he puts it. if THAT can be accepted, then words like crap, trash etc. should also be accepted when someone uses these to describe IR's music. otherwise we are not being fair. i can always say that what is wrong if i say that jeans is a trash album? iam just expressing my opinion, that's all. if someone says sendhooram is trash i don't go about calling him names just because iam a IR fan. so in the same way i don't expect anyone to object when i say jeans is trash.
whatever i have posted before are suggestions to improve this forum and not an attack against SPM. i don't do preaching. i understand that there are superseniors here who are better in that. iam just giving suggestions to improve this forum as i have derived countless hours of enjoyment in this TFMDF and i do not want it to end this way.
...."What big truth you have in store Vijay? Its IR's fans fantasy world. Even if its truth that IR is a trash, he is still the best for his fans. Period. No preaching required. Period.".....
iam sorry gopal but i have every right to express my opinion. i have clearly said that whatever i have written are just suggestions. if u still consider that iam preaching then i can't help but pity u'r comprehension power.

hey guys
Why don't you start a dedicated thread to continue your verbal bouts leaving the thread free for what is was intended -discussing "IR's new albums". And what's this I keep hearing about seniors in the TFMpage? Does TFM issue cards with membership details or what? Anyone can help me get one? Perhaps later someone would bring a cut-off membership date to participate (:-))

Swami:
To identify a person just check out
machine's name from name@machine_name.
(machine name = the machine they've been
using to post messages) Ofcourse, this only
applies to regular DFers. You can clearly
identify who is Mr.Tamizhan, can't you?

SPM,
please do continue ur contribution.Praising IR is ur wish and i think u have all rights to do so.
guys,
i haven't seen anybody who takes things so sportively and who has never failed to be courteous.
And for the musical dAds out here, had any of u been in SPM's place, i'm sure u wud have thulped the guy who offended u , left, right and middle (i wud have certainly done that).
As Mr.suresh said, start a separate thread to continue ur quarrel.
When i saw the last activity as NOV 1 in the main page of the forum , i felt happy that somebody has posted about some new album IR has released/his new venture.I got so frustrated on seeing these kind of silly fights happening here. PLEASE, for heaven's sake GO OUT OF THIS THREAD and continue ur fights.
I think i have all the rights to ask those gladiators to continue their fight some where else.
sorry for the digression.i cudn't find any other/better thread to put my views on this issue.

Mr.Vijay,
...."If u like something praise it loud. If u don't keep it to yourself"......
Let me give you an explanation for this. Say a new music album X is being released. U buy it a feel the songs are not upto your mark. Say an other guy buys the album and he feels enthralled on hearing the songs. So taste differs. That was I told(rather shouted as Ravi said) "lets keep the bad things to ourselves and good things aloud. You may ask what if the good thing was not good. Well, I don't know how to answer this. But lets not throw away a creation just by a single piece of word.

The latest album to have hit the stores as of now (I think) is "Thodarum" (*ing the same lead combination of Kadhal kOttai)... As usual Palani Bharathi is at his Thanglish best (with Shock adikkum pookkal, or some such song !) Unni is back with IR after a while ! In the meantime, if someone has listened to the album, the reviews would be welcome ....
