I heard that IR has composed some great numbers (apparently his best after KM) in a forthcoming film titled "SETHU", directed by Balu Mahendra's assistant.

I got hold of MVU this weekend. It's simply excellent. What is the meaning of 'Panjami' as in
Ilavenil Kaala Panjami

Can U compare the KJY song of DG with manidha manidha from kaNN sivandhAl maNN sivakkum, bcos the description u've given about that song makes me feel that it must be a kinda revolutionary song.

deepak kumaran and others,
to avoid repeated questions like the above i suggest a few tips in writing reviews in this forum. u can write about each song in just 3 or 4 lines giving a brief account of

1. singers and lyrics if anything special.

2.melody content.

3. any novelty in interlude music or orchestration.

4. finally, comparison to any old goodies might be helpful for the readers in getting a 'feel' for the song.

revolutionary feel to it!! It infact has
vande madaram in the start of the song and also
in the end of the charanams. You can compare
it with the song in kan sivanthal man sivakkum!

Swami: As of August 11th, KR had no Tamil movies at hand. He told me his next assignments were a Mallu film and a Hindi film. It seems he completed the BGM for Grahan just recently and asked everyone to watch out for it.

swami: it is true that the songs by USR for the film "poovellam kettu paar" for vasanth have come out well. the buzz in the industry is about this album and USR's non-film album. but, this film might be released only after rhythm.

Looks like DG is getting rave reviews from Everyone. The movie also sounds like a pretty decent one.. So let's hope that DG tops the charts
for a while like KM.

Manam Virumbuthey Unnai (MVU) is a masterpiece album. IR has changed his style quite totally. His orchestra now sound like ARR/Vidyasagar/Deva in a different way, a little unfortunately. But... he is teaching them how to make mediocre stuff sound fascinating.

The Yedho Yedho is enthralling. Just hear the rhythm in the second interlude. That must be IR's 2000th new rhythm and as usual just spectacular. Dr. Alban may borrow this and prepare it for ARR!

Balaji, thanks. excellent feature. Raja was admiring the beauty of nature in Maldives and was lost in photographin a bird there until his film roll got over. When Geeta Krishna why don't you settle down in Maldives, Raja replied that he doesn't like this type of isolation of loneliness. what brings him peace and relaxation in a vist to Moogambikai and Swami Thiruvannamalai (I am going to make atleast two visits a month there, one to pray to the two dieties with full devotion and one to be there when Raja sir is there also to offer my respects to this earthly diety!)

Geeta Krishna was totally surprised to know that a composer like IR exists who loves and God. BTW, is Geeta Krishna from India or what?!!!

Geeta Krishna is a Telugu producer(I'm not sure whetehr she directs). She used to go to IR once upon a time (movies like Kokila - hits only because of music). Now I think some Telugu directors are going back to IR which is a very good trend.

geetha krishna is a 'he' not 'she'., he is a director., has done 3 films with IR in telugu & all 3 were musically hit., he is a great admirer of IR & his music & the songs for his tamil movie 'time' are supposed to be greatest ones in latest tamil movies., i read this in almost all tamil magazines this week.

Geetha Krishna is a Male Telugu director/producer. He is a great admirer of IR. His movie in Telugu Kokila was hit just because of IR music particularly becuase of a song.
