I am a fan of Jayachandran as well. Sometimes, he sounds better than KJY. I liked his Kannathil Muthamittaal. For those interested in Jayachandran, the first place to check out is his official homepage. Informative and creative. Holds some rare pictures with KJY and other contemporaries...

I would like to know one more thing about one Mr. Krishnakumar, who has sung Shivasailam....... (Hindustani Style) in film Kaalachakram (New film) sung by one Mr Krishna Kumar....... Have you heard this? When I heard initially, thought that the singer is PJ; what a similarity in voice, style of singing etc!! Truly speaking; it is a carbon copy; but beautifully sung. After having listened the song 3-4 times continuously, I could recollect that I am having an audio cassette of this singer titled “ROCK TO RAGAS” (Carnatic Classical in Western style) A month back or so, there was an interview in Asianet Channel.. I am a fan of Jayachandran.My mother was also a fan of him. She used to appreciate his prounciation and his youthful voice. She was listening to his songs few hours before her sudden demise due to cardiac arrest. Long live Jayachandran and his songs.

Jayachandran is the best singer in India because he sings songs of variety.He preserves the sanctity of music.He made music to be enjoyful not like mere business.Music is to be enjoyed well both by the singer and listener.I like jayachandran most because he rules the music world by his superb performance.

He had also shown his performance in Mrudungum,Ghatam,Chenda and other various musical instruments.He is the best keralite singer.He is no doubt the best Indian singer too.

many songs that could've been sung by PJ was given to KJY in malayalam. Only Ilayaraaja revelaed complete talent of PJ. I believe PJ knew IR much before many other friends of IR.

PJ however could not have sung more songs like SPB and KJY because of the unique sweetness in the voice, which even SPB or KJY must envy.

3 of the unknown number of PJ/IR

Adi Maaney PJ and TL Maharajan
Sevvaaname Poonthendrale PJ with TLM, KMenon and Sasirekha
Poonthendrale Nallar neram ( a master masterpriec of IR for the melody and the orchestra pieces)

even MSV showcased PJ, however it was only IR who knew the genius of PJ and in his initual days gave more excellent melodies to PJ and MVasudevan than KJY or SPB.

I've met him too once when walking near Landmark and what a down to earth guy. He was talking about Rahman (92) just changing the musical scene. He told me IR was not calling him much those days. Even invited me home, a total stranger but seem to appreciate my knowledge of music!!!!

For me, the best combination is still: IR/PJ, then IR/MV, followed by IR/KJY and then only IR/SPB

Fantastic.Ilayaraja is a very good singer also an excellent music director.Jayachandran is the king of music.There is no surprise if a music director like Ilayaraja used jayachandran.

Jayachandran was not given chances to sing by most music directors.Some directors (Not mentioning their names) made this great singer to sing Title songs.But since he is a decent singer he never argued.

Friends,we must protest against this discrimination.The best singer in India insulted in film industry and is a victim of dirty film industry politics.Jayachandran shows his decency,
never bows his head in front of any person.He don't know how to fall at other's feet which is quite common in film industry.

About jayachandran...i have no words to appreciate him.He sung
