ARR once said..

Long time ago, ARR once in an interview said that he would love to do music for a full length carnatic classical movie like shankarabaranam. If given a chance, do you guys think that ARR can do it? I mean, can he do classical, semi-classical songs with our traditional south indian instruments without cheating our ears by using the synthesizers, samplers and drum bads?

  For people who say ARR is copying..
  
  Just go and say the name "Samandhamoorthy Aacharayar" to IR... then you can see IR disappearing from the spot...

  ARR was involved in some of the fusion music concerts that Zakir performed while he was in jingle composing phase of his career and known as Dilip Kumar..( Of course he played the synth!!). I am not aware of any CD/cassette releases of those.

  SunTv rating-la feature aaga there are some conditions that you need to fulfil...
  1) Paisa kodukkanum
  2) Andha padathoda rights kodukkanum
  3) Popular Hero-va irukkanum
  4) Andha padatha andha place-la podarthaala avungalukku edhaavathu nanmai nadakkanum!
  
  Idhula edhaavathu 1 or 2 satisfy aana poathum...SunTV rating-la varalaam!

  KKS had a poor rating of 39/100 from Anandha Vikatan..had lot of loose ends, hardly a great movie it seems

  C~P which of the above categories does the #1 position Autograph fit in? Sometimes I agree SunTV goofs up. But the latest rating was quite accurate.
  
  Kangalal Kaithu Sei is a badly made movie for the director. Engal Anna is nothing new for VijayKanth. It is higher up because the latter went down!

  12 years have gone. ARR, so far has not done pure classical music. This is one of the areas where he has not proved anything. Sangamam is hardly a classical album. It's not even a semi classical work. People who claim Lagaan a classical music probably dont know what classical music means. Also he is yet to prove himself in a pure folk form of south indian music. He is yet to prove a lot of stuff to justify people calling him a genius. ARR fans may say that he can do this and he can do that... but dont call him a Genius or music God until he does that.

  He's done one pure classical that I know of, "Chhodo More Baiyyan" from Zubeidaa. No ARRisms in that one.
