  Go for Ivan, wonderful album by Illayaraja. I will also recommend 'Kaathal Saathi' this was an album released an year back, the film is not yet released.
  There are some wonderful numbers in the album.
  'Kaathe Kaathe... ' by Karthik
  'Manase en Manase ...' by Bhava and Unni Krishnan
  'Paadiya vittu pirinja...' This is a Villu Paatu song by Kovai Kamala, I enjoyed the Chorus in this song, really wonderful.

  Thanks for the info on KM song. Cinesouth is not opening for me. But the info doesnt seem to be true. There are 3 versions of the song Ennai thalatta in the cassette. Also, the tune is so soulful and has been used extensively in the BGM of the movie. If IR had not liked it, how come he used it so many times?

  Thanks for the kAdhal sAdhi songs link. The songs are great, especially kannimAru kOyililE, enna maRandhAlum (IR's slightly better than mAhathi's), poTTAlak kATTukkuLLa.

  That means, the news about Ivan selling 3 lakh copies in one day may not be true, its just a viLambara technique of partheeban asking people to buy the cassette and make it happen ... somebody has to confirm if he was successful in that or not !

  I too saw that on the same day when posters first came out. Some people here mentioned that 3 lac cassettes got sold. I kept quite, because, I did not want to spoil their joy.

  But i think that it is best album to be released for quite some time.
  Some of the other majorly hyped albums were perfect duds.
  
  The only other album i can think of which is atleast listenable, in the market, these days is 'Sree' by T S Murlaidharan.
  
  Even 'Panchatantram' has to be listened to, to be believed-pathetic.
