  Heard Kanna Unnai Thedukiraen recently.
  
  Had some excellent songs. We have to
  pity the folks hearing recycled songs of
  Kushi, KKKK etc.
  
  Also I think the thalattu song and CRPR
  song compared don't have lots of similarity.
  I have heard both of them.
  
  Is Alavanthar going to be another Hey Ram
  with IR taking over the mantle in the midst?
  It will be nice to see IR score for
  Aishwarya Rai(who is the heroine in this
  movie I think) for the first time. Lucky

  kamal is trying to recover the loss he had with HR. cinema=business.
  one more time he associates with IR for personal preferences sake....then he might be on the streets pretty soon. :-)

  How can you conclude that Hey Ram
  flopped because of Raja? I think
  the music of Hey Ram was a
  big success going by the sales of
  the audio cassettes/CDs and so it
  is unfair to blame Raja for the movie's
  failure.
  
  Then will ARR be blamed for the failure
  of Taj Mahal,Takshak etc?
  
  Also Alavanthar is not produced by
  Kamal himself? And so its success/failure
  will not have any impact on Kamal's

  Meendum ungal Unmai virumbi. I am very happy to read that US has such a loyal fans of IR. Indeed he should consider himself luck to have such a fan following whatever may be his status back home. I also personally think he is not good at PR. Today having talent alone is not enough,talent 35% and 65%marketing publicity this is the state of affairs today,so I dont know how well this casette or his music efforts will be received by this stupid Tamil crowd back home,I know stupid sound little harsh but then tamil people have always been led by this blind blief in whatever the media says.. They glorify people or do the opposite. Anyway atleast so sample songs of bharahthy if someone can upload it will be fine.I tried my local store they have everything but IR,if you ask they say 'Athallam yaru sir vangaranga? Neenga ennuma IR music kakerenga ?"
  Horrible state,now who is responsible for this only IR and God knows...

  Just stumbled upon this ! Check out this. Its from the movie "Suryodhayam". Select the song "Symphony" and listen to it.

  Upon first listening, some parts/patterns reminded me of some (or some of the) old tune of his (IR), but ofcourse cant remember which one it is.

  Actually I didn't mean that HR failure was due to IR.Infact Kamal might have tried to make some profit out of it with IR's music which didn't work out in the north and to certain extent in the south.
  Although the cassette sales were high on the first day of the release of HR, I don't think it has made the expected sales on the long run.
  Yes. Aalavanthaar is not Kamal's own production. But imagine Kamal giving a row of failures with his sontha production and expecting the other producers to pay good sum for his next movies with them. Can that be possible?
  If BharathiRaja gives couple of failures then he is out of the market.....other producers will be hesistant to team up with him. Same holds good for any actor.
  That is why Kamal wouldn't have objected to Aalavanthaar's music director cos he needs a break from another failure (varushathukku onnu rendu movie is being released by rajini and kamal--they cannot afford to flop that also) and he is looking forward to see that this movie is right in all aspects for a commercial success. In this case, DEFINETELY raja is ruled out and cannot be on the positive side for a commercial success. There were days when films ran like hell just for the sake of IR, but now.....?

  What do you mean by "IR can't be on
  the positive side of commercial success"?
  
  You seem to attributing IR for the failure
  of a movie. Do you mean to say IR had no role
  to play in the success of Sethu for eg?
  
  Kamal has very high regards about IR's
  contribution to Hey Ram as evidenced in
  many of kamal's recent press interviews.
  So why are you trying to single out IR
  for Hey Ram's failure in the box office?
  
  What if Tenali also fails? Will ARR
  be attributed as the reason for that?
  In fact lots of ARR's movies in the last
  one year have flopped miserably and some
  of them like Pukar barely managed to run
  and that too because of tax break etc.
