  Was IR offered this movie. If so, why IR did not accept ! I mean, I dont know what could be the reason for IR not to accept it. Was Shankar Mahadevan offered this movie after IR refused? Curious to know what happened.

  Hey guys,
  I saw a trailer of 'Kaatrukkenna VEli' (not the old Radha starrer, this is a new film starring Sujita (ex-baby) and Khushbu.
  The background score was haunting.
  Goes without saying that the MD is IR.
  Wonder why Raja's official site has not mentioned this.

  first impressions:
  
  1 After Guru, another Landmark Album from IR
  2 Two exciting arrivals into TFM - Harish Raghavendhar and Madhu Balakrishnan(sounds like KJY)
  3 Bhava redeems herself a bit
  4 truly a "mellisai" album in all senses
  5 guaranteed goosebumps!
  6 my fav. songs 1 & 6
  7 pulamaipithan does a great job
  8 french music is a very short piece
  9 once again, pedestrian production qualities (HMV). No sleeve notes, worse you have to search for this in the racks from among the SAR, Deva profusions:( some good news, though, that my purchase of 5 cassettes extnguished the stocks. the salesman said that they'd sold out in a day

  I am dying to get my hands on this CD. The ensemble list of singers is only going to make the album all the more unique. I wish Bombay Jayashree has not killed Tamil with her atrocious pronunciation: I heard her in an album called 'BharathiyAr PadalgaL' that had a whole gamut of young Carnatic musicians (UNNi Krishnan, Sowmya, Sangeeta et al) singing a song each. And went mad at the way Jayashree pronounced the na and Na, ra and Ra, la and La, sa and Sha. What made it an unpardonable act was that she's a true blue Tamilian! Her 'NaRumugaye' song from 'Iruvar' is only a minor sample to prove this point. (Listen to her Kotra, Otrai)
  
  I appreciate your concern over 'trivialising' new releases with immediate MP3 uploads. But I am sure some Real Audio 'teasers' wouldn't hurt. Right? It might even serve as a good marketing tool.
  BTW, Has IR stuck to the original Ragams that Bharathi composed the songs in, or has he attempted a complete shift (a la Mari Mari Ninne and Suttum Vizhi in the past)? I personally would prefer the latter, so we can listen to all these classy songs in a new avatAr.

  suresh Great! thanks for the details on BHARATHI. IR's consideration for the new qualified singers is really a delight for TFM lovers. Like Neels I also prefer his own composing for Bharathiyar songs, which then will have the right combination of good tune and the good lyrics, which is very rare in TFM now a days. If possible can u do a review? (btw, u said 1 & 6 are ur favo, which 1? and 6 , u mean the French piece?) yvs mani CRPR album is got released more than a year ago, I guess that was the last movie RVU(as a director)/IR combo worked together!

  Visiri is right., CRPR is more than 2 years album (Naan collegela irukkumpothu vaangineen). RVU is the director.
  It has 2 good songs as far as I remember, 'Unnai naan sernthirukka' (SPB, CHitra)., 'Vaazhaiyadi Vaazahiyaa ..' (SPB(?), Arunmozhi)
  
  KosuRuch cheythi : The second one has some very good lyrics(RVU)., My fav. is 'Unnai ennaith thaLLi vechchathaaru., En kaNNu meelee kaNNu vechchathaaru ?' !

  'vaazhaiyadi vaazhaiyaa vandha...' is by KJY. RR this movie was gone out of theatre within 2 days of it's release. May be it's RVU's fault. He acted in this movie along with "Jeyaram".

  M., Thanks for your info. I don't have the cassette with me., However, now I remember it is by KJY., I think it got released with KM Audio.
  However, I don't think that film is already released., It is still waiting for release. Last week they showed this movie in 'Puthu varavu' section of SunTV's top10 movies.

  About CRPR, "Vaazhaiadi Vaazhaiyaai" is by KJY-Arunmozhi, it has a better lyrics and fine rendering by the singers, but the irritating is it's a recycle of "Yenakkena Yaarum Illaathu Ponaalum" by IR in THAALAATTU. There is one more good no., should be the title song, "Akkiri Pacha" by IR. If u haven't listened to "Vaazhaiyadi" song and u know "Yenakena" song, try singing it, its same. "Vaazhaiadi Vaazhaiyaai Vaazhnthirukka Aasaiyaai vanthathintha Vaazhaikkuruthey..." " Yenakkena Yaarum Illaathu Ponaalum Unakkena Vaazhnthiruppen" Hari K Karan Good review on BHARATHY, Thanks!
