Ganesh i agree with you.'Dheemi dheemi' is very pleasant too. Did you notice the lyrics?THey are very nicely written(who is the lyricist?).

Sabari in 'mehndhi' Alkas voice sounds so old and worn out. I have always liked her singing and voice and when i listened to this song i was rather shocked.

'so gaya' reminds me of 'tholvi nilai ene ninaithaal'(oomai vizhigaL)and Latha should try to stop singing. Her voice poiye pochu

Javed Akhtar is the lyricist.
Ramki, I agree with you that Latha's voice is not good. But I did like Alka's voice in that song.
Also, I am listening to the CD and the quality is much much better. Try to get hold of the CD. It is worth the buy.

Even though music does not have a language, Police probably has a point. Do you guys know any other sites where we can start a thread for Hindi ARR music. egroups is probably a good idea but it would be better if it does not have any membership stuff,etc. People simply might not have the enthu to sign up even though it takes only a few moments.

I was completely wrong earlier. The base in "Hai Na" is very very similiar to "Kurukku Sivathavale" from Mudhalvan.

There are zillions of non TFM related topics discussed. I think IRs *unreleased* symphony, non instrumental albums (HTNI, NBW, India 24 hrs) dont fall under TFM. Unless I am mistaken IRs guru was discussed in detail here. There are threads like Reasons for IR downfall which discuss TFP (Tamil Film Politics) than any music.

Extending the same logic for above, I think there is nothing wrong in discussing Zubeida.

What happened to sashi who used to review ARR albums regularly? I havent seem him review rhythm, tenali and zubeida. His reviews used to very meticulous and well written.

should have done better. romba saadhaaranamaa irukku. Could not find ARRs flavour in this music. it is a pure western classical music, that too very ordinary composition. nothing special in this score.

* shakespeare story ellam peelaa.
* non-committal towards usage of new lyricists.. looks like he will be going back to VM.
* accepts the feedback for NY concert.
* singers like sriram sing alternate tracks to help udit, sadhna sargam to pronounce..
* brings singers from north only for their voices:)
* fan of MSV-Kannadasan. felt the poetic appeal was missing in IR's age.
* listens to carnatic, qawwali, hindustani..
* studies lots of mystical books, about sufis..
* swaasamE song was composed to pre-written lyrics.

As far as I know its BD. Have u guys heard the Moon song from Bombay dreams?? If you did,(like me) at the concert, you know dat the composition for BD is very very different from his usual. A lot more classical and western.

I found diz on da net using a search program. Its fine if u upload it there. I didn't know u could do dat.

I bought a copy of Zubedidaa CD and I thought got a jack-pot along with it!! another CD of ARR Hits (hindi though!)
After listening to the CD i literally felt that I was duped. That CD had all karoke type songs sung by famous singers like SPB and HH.. all aalaaps changed and singers singing will all additives!!!

i literally hated that CD and now planning to give it as "dhanam" to some of my gujju friends.. who always look out for free CDs everywhere..

(man.oh.man... they never spend a dollor on a original CD.. all they got is a Memorex pack recorded from all OC 'iraval' CDs)

every other caller for the free CDs in the saturday morning irritating hindi radio programmmes is gujju..

One of the songs in Zubeida starts off with a U2 song sound. Its just the sound, though slightly modified.

main abheli .. the prelude. The U2 album is Joshua Tree. There is also the influence of 'Achtung Baby' in the male chorus. It seems to be a variation on 'she moves in mysterious ways' ..Very short. The rest of the song is different though it hints at some middle-eastern influence now and then.

saw thenaali yesterday in Dallas..
The BGM is very very very normal; nothing different.
overall the movie is bad and horrible..couldnt stand...
the only consolation was the songs; it was neat!
