hi all,
Preludes and Interludes are pillars of any song..There are many songs which have great Preludes and Interdludes in TFM..
Hindi film songs when compared to tamil songs dont have good preludes and interludes..we have to be proud about that..
Can we discuss about such tamil songs which had exceptional preludes and interludes???

I would like to point out two great preludes which are my favourites. The preludes of this song give me a happy feeling and nobody but IR can compose this kind of songs.
The two preludes are:
1."Paarijatha poove indha devaloka thaene" from some Rajkiran movie.
2."Unnaiyum ennaiyum katti ilukkadhadi" from "Aalapirandhavan".
I don't know which prelude I like better. It's like choosing between left and right eye.
I would appreciate it if any of you listen to this two songs and would comment on which prelude you like better and the reason for that.

Have anyone listened to 'Azhagukku Azhagu' song's prelude? The song starts something like this.

It is a long prelude but very cute. I love that prelude. I guess the song is from the movie
"Hello Mr. Zamindaar"

Listen to the prelude of "Avazh Parandhu PonALE". There is so much of feeling behind that simple piece of music. The violin background that starts with the guitar piece on its repetition takes one out of the world.
The guitar pieces in the prelude and interlude of the song "Paadi vaa thendralae" is also striking and such a pleasure to play.

Naveen, have you heard the prelude for 'varavENdum oru pozhuthu' from Kalaikoyil, sung by LRE? I am sure a piano enthusiast will enjoy this. It is available at http://www.swara.com

KS,
I happen to have "Unnaiyum ennaiyum" on a CD.I couldn't find it on the web.
As for "Paarijaatha poove" the link in dhool.com didn't work for me.However, one link I got from the songbot of newtfmpage worked.
