  Guys I recently bought audio casette of a Malayalam movie 'Kallukonru pennu' , I think it is a new one (Can some one confirm on the details of the moive?) , the cover has Vijayasanthi and Suresh Gopi, music by our great IR, Three very good numbers are there in this album.
  
  1.Thitharam Theyaram - yet another excellant duet from M.G.SriKumar and Chithra, excellant beat and blend of instruments in the interlude (more flute)
  Initial beat will remind you 'Rakkamma kaiya thattu..'
  
  2.Aruthae Aruthae theemari- a soft number by K.J.Yesudas and this song also has an excellant beat.
  
  3.Kenu mayaginae - a very good , really good 'thallattu' song by Chithra.
  
  4. A fast beat number sung by 'Mano' .
  
  Other songs in the album are repeat song of 1 but solo by M.G.SreeKumar and a Keerthanam by Chithra
  
  Overall three songs worth recording.
  
  PS: Don't have the mindset of GURU & YATHRAMOZHI as your expectations will be higher but definitely the songs are much better than recent TFM Songs

  I guess it's better IR does'nt score music for Shankar's movies... Happened to see Jeans a couple of days back. One of the worst song picturisations i have ever seen.. burning cell-phones and laptops for the Columbus song. Could'nt stand it.. God !!

  Add to your list, the beautiful number "Kannodu Kaanbadellam" absolutely 'raped' by the director/choreographer in the movie. Making a skeleton dance to it! Couldn't stand it man! Whatever be the reason, situation, twins, comedy, SFX etc.. A good classical type dancing by Ash was what I expected to see, and I got to see this COMEDY! Yuck! I wonder what NityaShree would've felt after watching this 'koothu' on screen!

  * IR has given excellent songs for the film & agathiyan hopes that this pair will continue !
  * CTV audio has released the cassettes & the sales is very good - News from a reliable sourse (??)

  DIGRESSION ALERT: I spoke to Nithyashree on her visit to London and she actually quite liked Shankar's representation of
  the Kannodu song, as did her family. They saw the funny side of it and I guess, they realised that the song was heard by most
  people before the video in the film was seen. I thought that it was awful at first watching, but now, I laugh everytime and quite

  The trend is to accept the 'koothu' per se and say "It has come out well" whether you like it or not. For, Nithya and the kind dont belong there, honestly!! But, you have no say, and just sit and watch the koothu. No doubt, Nithya must be fretting and chafing deep inside:(( Must be banging her head on the wall!:)))

  Dont go by this Dinakaran version. Being the same "jeans" production company that made a sweet nothing called jeans, these guys usually talk big.
  Yes, Raaja would have given good music, but, going by these commercial stuff, you may be surprised later on. Digression: "Uyire" advst. in Suhasini's site is better than the movie I presume:) I was the most unfortunate to listen to Uyire songs and behold, its best of the crap!!!

  The thakdom, Diana Diana and two songs by Hariharan in Kadhal Kavithai is haunting and is just too good. Listen to the Chorus part of Diana Diana. It's just mesmerising.

  1)Chorus By students of Padma Seshadree
  
  2) Key Board By : Viji Manuel , Karthick Raja and Bharani
  
  3) Rhythm By Puroshothaman
  
  The Alai meedhu number by Bhavatharini is melodious and very nice.Kannama en mela kovama sung by Ilayaraja and Sujatha is very different. The recording and mixing quality has been improved (It has to be still improved). Thathom thaka thimi thom Sung by Ila Arun and Swarnalatha induces us to dance.

  After the first listening of KK:
  
  *) thaththOm thaga-thimi-thOm by eelaa arun & swarnalatha has all the 'ingredients' to make it to top 3. Very fast rythm based, foot tappin song. thaNNi adichchuttu paadra paattu maathiri irukku. angangE slight 'mukkal munagals'. but, agaththiyanin varigaLil virasam illai. Hope he will provide proper visuals too to make it a hit.
  
  *) alai meethu viLaiyaadum ilan theNdralE by bhava, is a 3 minute kutti, cute song. Lots of [carnatic] violins thru out the song. Somehow, it reminded me of 'kaNgaL angE, kaNdana.." from karNan [esp.ly rendering by bhava]. Could be same raagama too. I request experts to please clarify. Sounds more of 'karthik-raaja-ish' thaan IR-ish, [esp.ly the percussion arrangements]. bhava-vin voice sounds very thin. Heavy voice uLLa vERa yaaraavathu paadi irundhaal innum inimai-yaai irundhirukkum enbadhu ennOda thaazhmaiyaana abhipraayam.
