  Just an aside, did you know that you can now listen to songs in 'Enga Thambi' (1993, Prasanth starrer) online? You can listen at www.thaalam.com. I'm sure there are at least 2 great songs.

  There are atleast 3 very good songs from the movie pattu vadhiyar.Mutham enral(has an ichh sound in the backgroungd through out),neethane nalll thorum(listen to the fantastic interludes) solai malare.
  All the songs were sung by KJY.

  Paatupaadava had wonderful songs. Nil Nil - beautiful srutibedam in Vasantha
  Vazhi vidu vazhi vidu - the prelude of this song is a must listen for all music lovers.
  There is another good SPB solo and a lovely female solo(early morning song, I forgot). BTW, where can I listen to these Pattupaadavaa songs?

  Poovarasan film had 2 melodious numbers from IR. The film was horrible!!! I remember kalki's review about IR's music saying "Vizhalukku iraitha neer"(good efforts going waste) 1. Inda poovukoru arasan poovarasan(best melody in Mohana raagam) 2. A raunchy number from SPB&Chitra . I remember the tune. But forgot the lyrics. This song is also pleasing

  mythila, there is also 'Raasaathi Raasaathi' and a very melodious SPB folk solo. FYI, all songs in Poovarasan feature SPB. ;-)

  There is another obscure R.Sundarrajan movie 'Sami potta mudichu'(91 or 92). I think the lead is Sindhu & Murali. It has 3 wonderful songs:

  Venkatesh! Everybody! As I stated in my first posting,
  The criteria is 4 or more really good songs in a movie. Otherwise, we'd end up having to list out every film for which IR has scored the music for within this time period. (Of course, it'd probably come out to all IR's filmscores anyway) ;-)
