In IR's projects, I read about his Telugu movie with Kodi Ramakrishna (historical fantasy/big budget). In pongal release, there is a dubbed movie from Telugu 'Paappa' directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, music by SP Venkatesh. This is also a fantasy movie with lot of graphics. Is this the same movie or IR is still working on the new project?
Also, there is no news on the release of Kanna Unai Thedukiren and Kaatrukkenna Veli (yet to be cleared by censors). Anybody has got an update on these?

I saw this week Kumudam's posters here, It has IR's picture and says 'En vaazhkkaiyai Cinema-vil veeNadiththu vitteen - ILayaraja'.,
Anybody read the article, What he actually means ? I know Kumudam guys are very good in giving controversial titles to even normal articles., So I am doubtful what Raja really said to them, No update on Kumudam site also.,

IRs music has become stale and his Music makes U Sick! There is no need to compare him with ARR, as his range and spectrum are entirely different. Enagayoo Poitaanya ARR! Discussing IR and comparing him ARR is totally unwanted and this is 'mosquito' comments for a composer of ARR stature.
Remeber and do not undersetimate ARR as he is also a novel contemporary master in writing music in Classical Carnatic notations as well as Wetern notations! He is a disciple of Dhanraj master too, Sudharsan master has appreciated his notes writing when he was 6yrs. FYI!
Please dont overboost and create a psychopansy on IR and Please leave him alone, to realise his status and compose something original and new.
Indian composers like Padmashri Dr. L.Subramaniam have composed,Pandit Ravishankar participated and presented "acceptable" symphonies and they are all quite out of humility.

The article was not an interview - it was IR's speech at some academy function .... Nothing new in his speech - the same Appalam - Oorugai thing, that most of his songs were not inspired by directors but out of his own hardwork. Raja also speaks about his experience in Hungary, and says that the conductor there told him " I have even corrected errors in Beethovens notations, but yours are flawless - you are a special composer". Raja says " I feel ashamed to say this here since people might think it is self-promotion, but if I dont say it nobody will...

I can empathize with Raja. It can demoralize anybody.
But to his credit he has not given up. He is still inspired. Am sure he has many more great works in his kitty which are yet to come out.
I have never seen anybody who has this kind of energy level. The key is his creative power. He still reels it off like nobody's business
I probably think he has shifted from melody compositions to more of WCM type of works. This is abundantly seen in Hey!ram and sethu's BGM.
His polamabal seems to be justified. But its too late

Raja may be correct in saying that he got struck in the filmy format and so could not achieve more. The funny thing is that the realisation has come after he is ousted from his no:1 position and not when he was ruling the same kollywood.

Or he is trying to sound too humble to believe in.
What happened to him who is angry with
himself? or tamil film directors.
But I am sure he will do something remarkable and path breaking in TFM.

Discussing IR is none of your business. Comparing with ARR certainly appears to be your job. An MD who did approx. 800 movies certainly can not be compared with one who has done less than 80 movies. That is a total nonsense and I agree with you on that.

I have watched "FRIENDS" almost five times. Comedy is the backbone of the pic. till the Intermission but BGM was also mild. This is understandable since there isn't any serious or sentimental scenes till then. The second half is amazing. Both of the heroes have performed up to expectations as real friends. IR live up to his standard in the climax...when Surya meets Vijay in his home ...seeing his friend in coma (or whatsoever)! The chorus style is soul catching. Also when VJ admits his fault to his wife..BGM is just great!!
