  The most sutiable reason for Bava's award is the perfect matching of her sweet, little girl's voice to the requirement of the scene (small girl singing in the movie). And this might be the 1st time her voise has been used in such a situation.

  I just get the Andan Adimai casett from India. After few listnings I personelly think that it isn't a bad album as some of you have mentioned!!!
  I really love two of the songs. On is Bava. and Harini's and another is Shankar Mahadevans.

  There used to be a genius by name Ilayaraja, whose music would be the mantra on everyone's lips and mesmerize everyone. Does anyone know what that person is up to these days? Has he moved away from the scene because of competition or has everyone has set him aside. Whatever it is, I miss him and his works a lot. Back to listening today's crappy music again......

  Thanks for the link on an article penned by ILayaraja titled, "MeeRalum Padaippum". Amazing words, profound thoughts.
  A musician, singer, composer, philosopher, devotee, writer, photographer, a spiritually enlightened soul... man, isn't he a a COMPLETE ARTIST!
  
  Made excellent reading. I wish they publish the entire book, 'Isayin Thathuvamum Azhagiyalum' by ILayaraja as a series in ArAmthiNai. Or perhaps in Raja's official site.
  
  And for the benefit of some of our TFM forum regulars, it would be great if someone could translate it in English. Any volunteers please???

  every one in the film world are taming themself by avoiding musical
  extractions from IR ,rather it is not loss for IR but for the musical industry/musical world,and for fans like us who are deprived
  of good great musical album outputs.
  it is not that IR has lost his capacity r market,no not at all.
  he still proves he is a neverending genius in outstanding creations
  such as film BHARATHI .
  if the subject is good ,and needed for the society then the unwritten fate of that film music by IR is a CERTAIN HIT.
  iam verymuch aware of the silly reasons y many dont go to IR for
  music these days,shoud i post it on the page ,i doubt as it is
  highly controversial issues
  
  but it is for sure that tfm is going to dogs,there is absolute
  ignorance of regional culture,melodious trend,and ethics,as it used

  Andaan adimai-one of the worst albums by IR. After a classic Bharathi and mediocre Friends here comes a real kuppai. I cant imagine that this is the same guy who gave 100s of masterpieces few yrs before.
  Im not going to review the whole album but was enraged to hear Madhu Balakrishnan singing a dappankuthu song and the song is so similar to chinna raasave from walter vetrivel.
  I wasted my $12 and 45 minutes of my time

  Please don't be too regional minded like the Thevar Magan villain Badri :)....TFM has not gone to the dogs...it has broadened and accomodated global trends...if you don't like it is quite sad...because we all have to grow up and learn to appreciate these new trends....I'm sure that when IR broke the MSV mould, similar complaints were raised....

  Actually IR should have done what ARR did (global sound and trends) in 1985 itself....he came close with "Agni Natchathiram"...but couldn't sustain maybe because he had already been put in a certain mould and to break it would earn public displeasure...

  Of late TMF page has become very POPULAR with overseas Tamil Film music lovers...But the real PAIN is the way you IR fans vote for top 10 albums in this Page...Always you guys make sure only IR family albums take the First Five positions...Many of my friends and relatives are asking me now over phone whether they can buy Thulluvatho Ilamai or other albums based on your voting pattern...The truth is neither Rishi nor TI generated any sensation in Tamilnadu but became Favourites in TFM page...This is highly misleading LOYALTY and this makes many shell out dollars for average or below average CDS or Cassettes...Henceforth please POPULARISE the Albums which deserve Promotion...

  Which madras you are talking about? I am in Madras for alleast 12 to 15 hours a day. I travel in and out of it. I have not come accross TI's popularity any where there. Also, I tend here new songs in many shops and TI , I don't think so, I have heard. Regarding DDD, yes people talk about it as its a MR production. I too have a great expectation. Wait.. wait.. I am saying that TI or DDD is good or bad...am just saying that the cake is not yet baked.

  Waiting for a gap, aren't u? I live in chennai for 24 hrs.. so it must make my comment more worthy of note than yours:)
  
  TI is a big hit with the young crowd, if u go to Music World you can quite often hear that playing in the system..
  
  DDD ranks No.1 in the Music World charts (leads Minnale now). Now don't tell me they're rigged too, they follow retail sales. To make u feel a little better though, ARR's Lagaan, 12ka4, and Love You Hamesha fall within the top 5 of the Hindi chart (which isn't much considering the current competition in Hindi!).

  I can see that u r posting from Chennai, but your info seems to be so outdated, u could even have been in the Mars. FYI, Chinna Ramsamy PR was released atleast 3 yrs ago. The film never made it to the theatres though. Did u mean AA to imply amazing asattuthanam?
  
  As for ur charges of bias by IR fans, u will notice that even weeks after "Aandan Adimai" was released, it still hasn't made it to the top 10 and is very unlikely to ever make it there. And a classic like "Bharathi" faded out a while ago, when it was still among the top 10 in the retail sales charts.

  had a chance to see karisakattu poove yesterday.
  amazing bgm stuff from IR andsome songs r too great. i guess that the tragic end of the movie is the main reason for its failure.... anyway the movie went unnoticed among the music lovers, i hope it is not the case with aandan adimai.
