  The above is Top Five in all Citi Shops including Misic World,all branches...I understand in suburb shops Badri is ahead of others...Hence I am informing the true position to Forum..When my friend asked for latest audio of IR, he was given Chinna Ramasami by the cassette shop...Is this a RE...Release...A.A.

  If DDD is on top of the charts, it is not only bcos its good it's also bcos of the initial interest generated by a new music release of a popular music director or actor....and cassette shops play these new films for promoting album sales...not bcos they r on top of the charts....to claim otherwise is stupidity

  Like you pointed out, the inclusion of the last paragraph was totally uncalled for. An unnecessary appendage to the review, IMO.
  
  I have heard the album and is VERY GOOD. I don't understad Kannada, so I can't comment on the 'word stressing' problem that he keeps harping about throughout the review!

  I agree, 'cos I dont understand Kannada either but feel the songs are pretty good. Maybe you should write to music magazine and point it out...particularly the final sentence which is totally unwarranted.

  Karthik - IR's interviews have been pretty muddling. No wonder that last statement had come out of the writer's stylus. And I dont think that is wrong either.

  Usire - I understand is a remake of 'Bharathy kaNNamma',
  IMO songs are quite good with IR touch - I liked the KJY Solo song, KJY-Bhava Duet and SPB, K S Chitra duet - Ofcourse, I don't understand kannada :-)

  Guys you dont understand kannada,no problem becoz there is no meaning in those songs,as a kannada girl even I dont understand what it is."Janapada annodu..." is the worst meaningless song I ever heard(lyrics K.Kalyan)and Kjy and Bhava song,"Preetisuve preetisu baa" this song is also very ordinary song. Bhavatarini's voice is very nice but Shruti????.(God save kannada lyrics.Kalyan ninage kalyanavaagali.Kannada songs lovers always miss late Chi.Udayashankar).But I always respects IR bcoz I like his Music very much.Did you guys want to hear the songs go through Music India online.com.Deva is the MD of Amritavarshini, the songs are good.

  Thanks for your inputs, Appadiyee if you could tell the meaning for 'Ho Anthiya, Oho Anthiya' (??), that would be great :-) They advertise this as 'Million dollar question', I don't understand even 10 paise of it ;-)

  Actually, the reviewer says, 'in another song, Brahmanige chinte illa becomes Brahmanige chinte ila'. 'illa' is pronounced as 'ila'. The stress on L is lost.
  
  Looks like this is the first time Kannada lyrics are murdered. They are making a song and dance of such simple things. namakku ithellaam sagajamappaa :-)))))
  
  Some 'alpa thirupthi' for Tamil fans to know that Kannada lyrics are also getting messed up!!!

  Folks..this is a very good album. The recording is good but the instruments are recorded a little high. So the mix sounds a little 'hot' especially because of the various string instruments. Instruments are all natural except for the electric rock guitar for which a synth has been used (mainly to tame down the sound, I guess). The drums sound fantastic. This recording must have been done in one of those new multi-track digital studios. Way to go. But the mixing leaves a lot to be desired. Ravichandran has a good music sense and so I surely he has picked the right melodies.
  
  Re: review on themusicmagazine.com - Never mind. The interviewer as not professional at all. He never explained the songs much except for saying I like this or I dont like this kind of stuff. I am doubly certain he is wrong about the stress part. For south Indian languages there is no other MD who makes the beat perfectly coordinated with the lyrics. This is the reason he likes to do live recording. The beats have to be on each and each 'siir' boundaries. The 'siir' in Tamil ilakkanam can be applied to any language. I looked for this in these songs and they seem to be allright. Bhava still going flat at the higher octaves. But SPB still rules and Chitra is sweet as ever. There's one song which starts with 'murattu kALai' kind of beat and Bhava's song has touches of moonrAm pirai song.
  One interesting thing - IR's use of modern beats for a sad/melancholic song. IR is either ridiculing the modern MDs or throwing a challenge to them or he is just plain annoyed :).(Mano reminds me of his GitAnjali self).
  (Oflate, IR is using more of rock style guitar playing).

  Only one emotion is clearly brought out from this album - boredom. I am sure IR took no longer than 5 seconds to compose any of these songs. He just seems totally uninspired.
  
  "Chilipiyenno .." was a good song but the charanam is tortured with some very cliched turns. "Preethisuve" is the most bearable song, again with a below average charanam.

  Hoo Antiya Uhoo Antiya means "Do you say Yes or Do you say No. I like three songs.Baana Kolminchu was sung by HH pretty song and Belli Chandiranu sung by Bhava and Madhu Balakrishna.kanasugala song is also good by SPB.Tatally the Album is OK.What do you say yes or no.Even I don't understand five paise of Million dollor question.You know I really stopped to hear the recent kannada songs becoz god only Knows the meaning of those junk.I can understand a little bit of Tamil.And I like IR's music very much.I heard almost all Tamil songs composed by him.

  Pl. do not buy Karisakaatu poove/Kanna unai theduigiren cd from Ramiy...they messed it up, both the channels have the same sound(not stereo recording)...I bought it and to my suprise found it...Then I got Magnasound original Cd frmo Madras..

  Sorry for the double posting...I wanted to add the last line and tried to stop the browser...I don't want people to take the above as IR bashing...just that even geniuses when executing commercial compositions can fall prey to the "this-tune-sounds-familiar" factor
